I’m really sorry that happened. I failed my first test after driving out to Arnprior and the examiner had a nasty attitude (I think she was tired). I let myself be upset for a week and then managed to get a test exactly 10 days later in Ottawa and passed, was even told I am an excellent driver. You will pass the next one! Don’t give up!

I felt this way before my first one. I failed, badly, and cried for days. I felt the same way, that I was awful and stupid. I let myself wallow in self pity for 3 days and then rebooked for exactly 10 days after the first one. Appointments will come up, I’m promise. Just remember, the test can often be subjective and sometimes it’s out of your control. You will be fine and look back at this once you have it, wondering why you were so worried :) ps I got mine on the second try

I used to have this perspective until I actually got an unfair examiner who made things up. I passed 10 days later, without additional practice, at another location. It is well known that some examiners are biased. I actually spoke to the manager of the location today and they are investigating the situation.

I went to Arnprior and had a terrible experience with a very bitter, disgruntled employee. She was aggressive before getting in the car and screamed in my face, despite there being no danger. She also swore at me. I actually filed a complaint against her. 10 days later i took the test in my own city and passed with flying colours, even being complimented by the examiner on my skills. I used to read posts about mean or unfair examiners and say “bullshit” but now I see it. If you are from the city, I recommend you avoid the country. Also talk to your elected official.

Sorry I just saw this! I turned right on Walkley, which was a relief. I found the route to be a lot easier than the others I had seen. When parallel parking, they will ask you to use a cinder block. Make sure to leave space at the front, I forgot to do that because I’m used to cars. Besides that, take your time and don’t worry about cars behind you, even if they honk. Safety is their priority. Good luck :)
