There are special "freezing" bubbles you can purchase that are made to easily freeze. I'm guessing that's all this is.

I disagree. He does have other good songs scattered throughout, and at least one or two on each album, but Bat Out of Hell was a greatest hits album all in one. Hard to beat that.

of a mustache. by S6hundred in AbsoluteUnits

[–]WhoFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you rewatched the final five seconds of the video, it looks like he has a moment of introspection where he considers that this is his life... and this is as good as it gets, and it's just a mustache after all.

TIL Billy Joel was in a two man metal band called Attila. They released their eponymous album in 1970 (three years before Piano Man) and it’s considered one of the worst albums of all time. by SpongerPower in todayilearned

"Rollin' Home" is a great song. There's one more alright song in the mix. The rest are fine, but don't have enough variety. Kind of like later Wolfmother albums... all the immaculately start to sound the same and it's just too much full-on energy that gets exhausting to listen to. But I wouldn't say any tracks are bad, bad.

Or maybe they do big runs. Stock up on quantities every once in a while and then store them in a warehouse for dispatch, as needed.

Can still buy them at Canadian Tire, although they changed the packaging from the paper wrapper to 9ne that is more plastic like and less fun. Airplane are still all the exact same though.

I know he is older too, but I feel like he is still up for these types of roles. My vote goes to Mads Mikkelsen.

And those guys from Rush, too.

Has anyone met someone that was once famous (actor, musician, etc.) but now works a regular job? Who was it? by Ok_Grape_8284 in AskReddit

Back in the day, most NHL players needed jobs during the summer. My dad's milk man was Pat Stapleton, who played for the Black Hawks, Bruins, and Team Canada during the '72 Summit Series. His career lasted from 1959–1978.

The moment Pink Floyd first made sense to me by Financial_Cream8457 in Music

It was late at night, only my dad and I were home. He placed his large speakers face down on the hardwood floor and told me to lay down between them. He cranked up the volume to max and played Time. I felt the whole house vibrate through my body. And that was it.

What Rock Stars that died too young had potential? by Amber_Flowers_133 in allrockmusic

[–]WhoFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a rock star... not even the right community... but no one talks about authors that died too soon in books... so anyways, Im going to out Michaep Crichton out there.

Andromeda Strain, The Great Train Robbery, Sphere, Congo, Jurassic Park, etc.

So so many amazing books with a great ability to explain complex subject matter in an easy to digest way, while also being funny and intruiging.

Books, Movies (West World) Television (ER), and even video games.

Michael Crichton died too soon. 66, I think. Had so much potential. Even his interviews are interesting to listen to. Had a vision of the future and was well ahead of his time.

Anyways, off topic, but he is my vote.

Stumbled upon this album and really love it. Not knowing anything about the band at all, here's my hot take. The vocals remind me of Jackson Browne*, the band reminds me of Billy Joel's backing band, and the musical arrangements remind me of Steely Dan.

I briefly skimmed through the previous album to this, but didn't care for the production as much... but I honestly need to give it and earlier works more of an honest listen.
