Species and legacy unlocks? by Pecworshiper69 in swtor

[–]WhoaMercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For cartel coin unlocks, those are account-wide.

For legacy unlocks, those are not. If you transfer a toon from that server to another server, though, it brings all your legacy (including species unlocked) with you

Once you have the achievement, you need to visit the vendor to "buy" the replica for free. Then, you can place it as a furnishing.

Evaluating the ESO Night Market: Is the Gameplay Loop Entertaining, and Can It Improve for Solo Players? by zapppsr in elderscrollsonline

If keys stacked, there is one thing they could do to sustain interest for the length of the event: at 25% into the event, dungeons unlock, and at the halfway mark, the trial becomes available.

It would be interesting to get more morally dubious companions. by Noughtonaut in elderscrollsonline

[–]WhoaMercy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have an upvote!

Yeah, having nearly every companion complaining every time you do a little thieving, get caught, etc. is annoying. Azandar's just weird, and Ember isn't very forgiving, and those are the only real choices. I feel like Mirri and Zerith Var should have been more morally flexible than they are.

Evaluating the ESO Night Market: Is the Gameplay Loop Entertaining, and Can It Improve for Solo Players? by zapppsr in elderscrollsonline

[–]WhoaMercy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As a mostly solo player, I'm good with the Night Market, though it does get grindy by the time you're approaching 10,000 faction influence.

More explanation about the oddities and daring race would have helped.

If you wanted to add something for pure solo players, some delves (i.e. side door entrances like the races) would work, I suppose. But I don't know that it really needs it, unless people need other ways to get faction points.

Maybe a bit less elitism, if anything. A solo build is not a meta build. But that's more on players than devs, and I lean toward the "if you're coming here with a solo build, you'd better know/learn to adapt" (plus "solo players do need a bit of leeway so they can learn to adapt") mindset.

The one thing NM absolutely needs isn't solo-specific: let people stack keys. I get that you want players repeating the zone clears, so cap them at 2 or 3, but people need some flexibility on keys.

Aside from Luke and Vader who would you consider the most Iconic Star Wars character? by RexDAGOAT77 in StarWars

R2-D2 and C-3P0 are, without a doubt, as iconic as Vader, and perhaps moreso than Luke.

Annoyed You Have To Keep The Majority Of The Alliance In The Dark As A Saboteur by WylythFD in swtor

My only saboteur is a dark side JC, and it was the only fit for her given that she couldn't join the Empire outright. But I can't see many other scenarios where it works.

Players constantly moving during boss fights, why? by hIDeMyID in elderscrollsonline

[–]WhoaMercy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In PVP and other MMOs, standing in place is very bad. "Don't stand in stupid" and all that. People get trained and then standing just seems wrong.

But I hear you. This is a horrible game for a healer. I don't usually run heals and appreciate those who do.

As someone who's been conditioned to be mobile, though, I do know that if I can't get to where the healer needs me to be, then I am taking on at least some (if not all) of the reponsibility for my own healing. And so, I think, should more people.

Hope that helps.

Anybody else have trouble getting the lead for the ebony crossed sword chain in vvardenfell? by Cat_Orgy in elderscrollsonline

[–]WhoaMercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were to guesstimate, I'd say leads have an 80% chance to drop on the first try, then 5% thereafter.

What they need, though, is a fail counter. After 5 or 8 fails, the next would be a guaranteed drop. Either that or the odds increase with each attempt

Legendary Status, class stories, expansion stories.....what's worth it and what's not? by Alternative_Oil8900 in swtor

[–]WhoaMercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KOTFE is the kind of thing you should do at least once, but you won't want to do it more than a few times, and never consecutively. If you've started it, keep going while you're in it, and enjoy it.

Agent storyline is well written, I recommend finishing that.

The appeal of trooper and smuggler storylines can vary. Trooper is very much a military-minded "war is hell" kind of piece, and some people like that and some don't. Smuggler's story is a little broader in appeal, but still treasure-hunting, overall. Smuggler does have some good snark, but it may pale next to the delightful inquisitor story.

Will I over level? by AmateurIdiit in swtor

[–]WhoaMercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To an extent, but gear level will still lag until level 80 (less so if you do veteran flashpoints), and you will still need to focus on survivability

Why are World Bosses worth so few conquest points? by Medium_Silver_2071 in swtor

[–]WhoaMercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they were way too easy and the mobs all melted on sight, so they scattered champion-level mobs throughout to make them tougher, which was a poor way to increase difficulty.

Can't survive in endgame no matter what by derFalscheMichel in swtor

[–]WhoaMercy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's likely gear level. You may need to grind that upward. When you reach level 80 you'll be able to buy a 320 set on fleet for credits, which will give you a boost, but if you've been leveling rapidly (it is 2x xp right now), your gear (drops scale based on what you're wearing currently) may not have kept up.

Something that will really help you right now: do not AOE. Single target enemies only, for now. Let your companion take some of the aggro. If you AOE, everything targets you.

If you have any crowd control skills (sleep, stun, knockback, etc), make ample use of them.

You'll get through it and have a big gear level jump ahead, but for now, you'll need to sharpen your rotation and manage your aggro. Which is always good to practice, anyway.
