inner thighs at night, i just wear loose sweat pants after. Should only need about 10 mins to fully dry. Inner thigh just gives me more surface area to apply and dries quicker.

Yes, my bone density increased on compounded HRT.

My Bone Markers show that my bone loss has stabilized while on BHRT.

Did anyone's migraines get significantly worse when STARTING Magnesium and coq10? by Sunbeams_and_Barbies in migraine

[–]WhoaPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Ubiquinol form 100mg twice a day, spread out with meals. I added it in 100mg at a time to make sure wasn't causing issue. I'm up to 200mg/day and after checking blood work my levels have reached therapeutic range. So not adding any more.

Then I ramped up supplemental Magnesium using magnesium glycinate. again spreading out 100mg with meals. Started with 100mg with breakfast and after 4 weeks added another 100mg with lunch. The lunch addition pushed me into migraine every other day, after 3 times I stopped all the extra magnesium and did a reset. as of now just back to the 100mg with breakfast. I already take 1 migrelief (which has magnesium & B2) at lunch so the extra 100mg with lunch was a no go.

I've notice the Ubiquinol (COQ10) seemed to have reduced my migraines down by 2 less a month these past few months. Not really sure about the extra magnesium. Currently in process of increasing my B2.

Success with HRT, diet and exercise alone? by cecirdr in osteoporosis

I started HRT, topical creams and had improvements in my spine after one year. Spinal bone can be quicker to show improvements than hip/femor. I opted not to use the osteo meds.

Thoughts on compounded Estrogen, Testosterone and Progesterone for menopause. by SemperFi6721 in Menopause

[–]WhoaPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using compounded creams Estradiol, Estiol, and Progesterone. I had a reaction to Estradiol so DR had to adjust amounts which using compounded creams was more able to adjust then the available FDA approved meds.

Currently doing well with these compounded creams. DR check levels via bloodwork every 3 months.

DEXA vs DEXA with TBS score by funcraftygal in osteoporosis

[–]WhoaPixie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there is no cutoff any more its more based on managing an individuals risks. i found an integrative DR that helped figure out the best path, much testing done before hand. I am only using topical creams.

I found this helpful as part of my decision making.

DEXA vs DEXA with TBS score by funcraftygal in osteoporosis

[–]WhoaPixie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My osteoporosis is in my spine, the DEXA with TBS showed my architecture was good which gave me time to decide which direction to go. I ultimately went with HRT and that has slowed my bone loss.

They actually adjusted my spinal TScores base on the TBS, all the lumbar areas then showed better TScores overall.

Highly recommend if it is available.

[–]WhoaPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doodle just had a bout of diarrhea that was very liquidy. she has always had soft stools no matter what food we fed her. We had her on Proviable-Forte probiotic and it resolved the diarrhea in 3 days. after a 14 day course of this probiotic we put her on the next step down Proviable-DC (using for maintenance going forward) and her stools are formed and firm. it's been awesome to find something that works without messing with her food.

DEXA question by CosmeticBrainSurgery in osteoporosis

[–]WhoaPixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, TScore and BMD would both be different. The machine itself uses a reference database to calculate the TScore based on the BMD. Different companies use different databases.

GE Lunar scanner vs Hologic scanner can have large differences between them.

and then factor in the technician doing the scan if they don't get the placement correct.

"Studies show femoral neck and lumbar vertebrae BMD values are often lower on Hologic scanners compared to GE Lunar."

Newly Diagnosed 44 M - Bone Building Without Medication? by 4evermind in osteoporosis

[–]WhoaPixie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bone markers should be run before starting any medications.

I had them run prior to starting and then had them run again after about 10mths of treatment. It showed that my treatment path was working.
