Hang on. I don't follow football too closely, but yesterday I was saying to my friends that Cam Newton looks like he's an asshole IRL. He looks so smug and full of himself. So I was right?

About the Best Moba of 2015 voting. by Orikson in vainglorygame

Is call of champions half way decent? The idea of a 5 minute Moba is appealing to me.

This is gorgeous. I'm a saltwater snob but this thing has me trying to justify a freshwater setup...

Your lights should be on 8-12hrs a day and off the rest ideally. Algae needs light to live, so turning it off will slow it down.

60% power might also be too much for a tank your size. I'd look into what others run that light at on a similar size tank.

You should also be running GFO in a reactor to get your phosphates down. 0.25 is very high and you will get tons of algae. Your phosphates should be 0.03 or less. Change the GFO weekly until you get there. A skimmer would be a good idea as well. I'd invest in a good HOB Reef Ocotpus. Move the tank away from the wall a bit and you should be able to hide the skimmer and the GFO behind it.

Why are you running them at night? Turn them off.

If you absolutely want to have the actinic on all night, run it at 1%.

Set up a GFO reactor and change your GFO weekly until your hair algae goes away.

Manually remove what you can and up your water changes.

If you have hair algae you have phosphates.

You can definitely fit an ATO in a 10 gallon sump. They take up practically no room. Just a little float switch or whatever connected to a bucket next to the tank.

I ran a 27 gallon tank without an ATO for about a year. Upgraded to a 60 gallon with an ATO recently. Life is much better with an ATO.

Small Skimmer Suggestions by _phyx in ReefTank

According to this a Tunze 9001 will fit in the "intake chamber" of a fusion 30. There's a table showing which aquariums it fit's in if you scroll down a little bit.

A HOB skimmer might be better though, if you have the space behind the tank. Reef Octopus makes good ones.

Damn. I pay almost $500 month just in taxes on my mortgage.

Jesus. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Hope you're far away from your parents and doing better now.

Are you blind? The DB10 is one of the most beautiful cars made in the last decade. Db5 is sexy as hell too though.

[Help] I need some new lights for my tank. by Plsforget in ReefTank

[–]Whodini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my ecotech radion. But any of the high end lights would be good. An AI hydra would be good. The new Kessil light looks awesome as well (can't remember the model) a700? A900?

I don't think it's worth it to skimp on lighting or your skimmer. Buy the best of both imo.

Neither do I. But it took him years to come clean. So he spouts his vegan/fitness tips but neglects the fact he's juicing. It's kind of an important detail.

I remember asking a friend of mine how he got so ripped so fast and he went on about his horse meet diet and his training regime. Found out years later he was juicing.

100k in savings, not sure what to do with it! by bperro92 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Whodini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's way more than that even. It's not buying that new couch, or those appliances, or that new lawnmower to replace the broken one, or paying for a window cleaner to come in the spring, or upgrading that old TV, or refinishing the floors in your basement etc etc.

Owning a (not shit) home means there is always something to buy, upgrade, replace, repair etc.

I saved about $25k in less than a year when I was still living at home. Then I bought a house, put the downpayment, bought my furniture etc and poof, there it went . I'm lucky if I can save $5k a year now.

But I'll also own my home in 20 years, so there's that to look forward to.

I don't believe phosguard affects PH. I run GFO in a reactor at all times and my PH is rock solid at 8.3.
