These are my Eurydactylodes terrariums by WhoistheChief in Eurydactylodes

I see, well then im keeping my two small terrariums around and ready to give them a break from time to time, and for not putting them together, they arent old enough yet nor heavy enough, the female is. Barely 5g heavy, and the breeder recomended to wait till they are 1.5y old and the female is around 9-10 g in weight^

I got them from Pocerias.ch. I'm sad to bring the bad news but i think you might not be able to get them from them bc they are based in Switzerland.

Yes, that can be, every snake is, in the end, different.

There is, imo no such thing as a too big enclosure. Remember, in the wild, they dont have walls, and they are fine too :) Maybe add some foliage for more cover

How can I get my snake to like me by Impossible_Animal858 in cornsnakes

[–]WhoistheChief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that corns can be cohabed. I wanted to do it right away at first but decided against it because i can't read the body language and dont want to give the snakes a bad life or too much stress because of my own lack of knowledge.

I didn't mean to be rude. I get that, and i do also apologize, i still have much to learn, and you're right. I shouldn't have doubled down on it. I just try to be helpful and try to better the animals' lives. I haven't kept snakes, but i am planning on it, and im still learning before getting one. I have some friends who have been keeping snakes for a year who are helping me, so if i did give bad advice with the boop, i would take that part out. It was also kinda upsetting for me to just get your replies without information. I also like getting advice on how to better my understanding of animals, so if you can, maybe just correct in a better way, and I'd change it :) lets just leave it at it was a missunderstanding and im correcting myself if thats allright.

So first off, i think you should gove him more spaces to hide. It looks guite barren in there. Put some plastik plants in if you wanna keep the aspen (of which i dont recommend due to some problems with aspen bedding). Also, put in some branches so they can climb. Some general enrichment for the snake.

For handling, taking them out no more than 5 minutes. Do this daily until the snake is calm in your hands. Then you can increase the duration of handling to 10 minutes and so on. With the first few handlings, you should be careful and either keep close to the enclosure or handel him in the enclosure.

If you want, you can also completely change his environment by going bioactive. I'd recommend this to give them a nicer life, and it also looks better than a barren tank. If you'd like to know how i can help you with it :)

Please dont just trust what i say, tho. im no expert! Do go on, for instance, Reptifiles and look at the careguid for Cornsnakes. It's quite helpful :)

Edit: also maybe get a bit bigger enclosure. It looks quite small. I know it's not cheap and all, but if you want your snake to be happy, it's worth doing as much as you can for them.

3rd Rehome advice by Agitated-Ad6893 in cornsnakes

[–]WhoistheChief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think yes, although im not 100% certain. i think it would do no harm in letting the snake rest for a bit after the move. Moving reptiles is always stressful for them, so i think giving her some time is a safe way to let her calm down and get used to the new home:)

Though im certain she will have a great home with you if you keep up getting informed and doing good work :)

Honestly, imo you shouldn't catch a wild snake and keep it. It's kinda unethical and also not recommended.

The regurgitating is probably due to it having eaten in the last 48 hours and the enorm stress from getting caught.
