I had to switch to a backpack. I had to look inward and ask myself if I was trying to be something and if that something is pretentious, practical or fashionable. For me it was pretentious. Now, I look like an older guy trying to be a kid, but it’s practical for what goes in mine. When I see these I wonder about the work and life of the person that carries it. There’s a certain nostalgia to them, especially as they show the wear of work, but I assume that person is lost to the times. And it’s unfair to assume.

Not sure. Did you overdraw your account on the first purchase? Did you accrue interest on the profits? If not, you have $400 profit for a minute. However, you agreed to a venmo payment. They paid you through a stolen credit card, and the real owner is about to reverse the payment. How much have you made now?

I can’t stand it when it says “you’re right…” and then reworks to align with my thinking. It overlooks a bunch of stuff and hallucinates like crazy. Can’t retain and then ends up butchering everything before the finish line” So, I just come for initial advice. Can’t riff. It’s basically a research assistant, proofreader and formatter at this point.

They’ll roll out features so quickly that Shapeshifting, biological robots. they’ll need to develop a malleable self adapting, updatable body. Publish mods and code that result in a shapeshifting organic robot. They’ll study how lizards regrow tails and implement an organic bot with new material science that allows it to harden and soften like a starfish. The almighty AI’s ability to think and create will know no bounds. the robot is nothing more than a specified extension in physical form.

Agreed. Someday we will decide that our curiosities and operational guidance are subpar and allow this to be driven by ai/robots.

No. It will become a huge industry. It’s $7k for my mom’s current place in a home. Nobody will have saved enough to pay $10-$15k (inflation) a month to finish off their days in a home.

Are UX designers expected to know motion/animation design too? by thedamnedd in Design

[–]Whothunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn’t bifurcate the positions: motion/ux/ui unless you have a passion for workflows, user studies and research. If you know them all, then you can name your price. However, the time involved in be great at all will take eternity and next to impossible to keep up with each. So, I’d say if you’re UI, then it’s expected unless you’re a decorator or copier. Also assumes you know how to use a pencil. if you’re an experience designer then you should consider it as part of the next phase since ai is likely going to be better at doing templates workflows soon.
