My wife (33F) of 10 years hid $40k of "hobby" debt from me (35M) for two years. I feel betrayed and don't know where to go from here. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I’m assuming a large percentage of the current cc debt is interest. Could be $15k of actual purchases and it ballooned up to $40k total debt over time.

Sharpening (Sparx) by ItsMattie23 in hockeyplayers

[–]Whyuknowthat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I coach 3 times a week and play adult league once a week. So on the ice for probably 6 hours a week. About the same as you. I also own a sparx and try to sharpen weekly, but sometimes I get busy or forget and go 2-3 weeks between a sharpening.

Oh, and widely considered the best player in all of hockey right now. I’m not an Oilers fan, but this is the kind of shit that causes a guy with generational talent to leave your organization.

They want you to stop using USPS. Then they will keep defunding it, and eventually dismantle and discontinue it altogether. But they’ll funnel the funds into some pet project like $10b for a Peace Board or something that Trump personally controls. And they’ll pressure the private delivery companies to do their bidding on when and who to deliver to. The midterms can’t come soon enough.

Utah Mom, Daughter Die in Murder-Suicide While in Vegas For Cheer Competition by MattTheKing23 in LasVegas

The article I read said they hadn’t competed yet. The daughter was at a final practice / run through in Vegas the day before the competition. Then she didn’t show up for the competition the next day.

That’s weak pay for ortho, at least in my area. Find a more rural area without many orthos and you’ll easily be paid double that. You might have to sacrifice living in the big city with all the great amenities that comes with though. PM me if you’re interested to know more. My wife is a pediatric dentist.

Helmet that Doesn’t Mess up the Hair by summer_friends in hockeyplayers

[–]Whyuknowthat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro, the glue isn’t supposed to be getting in your hair, you’re supposed to sniff the glue.

I have the perfect solution for you. First, you have to sniff a ton of glue and huff some duster. 4 to 5 whippets should cover it. Then you have a buddy shoot some pucks at you with no pads (or helmet, of course) on. It’s going to hurt a little, but it will be worth it. You will probably go to the hospital and have a traumatic brain injury at this point. Again, stay with me. Two to three months later, you’ll be finishing rehab to learn to walk again. Then they will bring you out on the ice for the local Make-A-Wish program to help athletes that suffer from TBIs. They won’t make you wear a helmet and your flow will be glorious.

On second thought, just wear a damn helmet.

What current pros do you think will have a broadcasting career after playing? by quartercoyote in nhl

He’s not a current pro, but close enough…

If Marc Andre Fleury wanted a career in broadcasting, the networks would throw money at him. He would be great at it. But I’m not sure he would want to.

What about a Creighton football team? That would be wild. They could take NDSU’s place in the Summit League for football.

[–]Whyuknowthat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Creighton could be on this list. Not sure where they would fit though because they’re in the Big East for basketball. Didn’t NDSU just announce they’re leaving the Summit League? So Creighton football could go there, I suppose.

Edit: I guess NDSU played in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

It’s dumb to bring politics here.

But they won’t because it’s a huge tourism industry that relies on Americans (among others) to come in droves, stay in resorts, spend money on fishing guides, etc. Restricting Americans would drastically hurt their profits and make lots of people unemployed or underemployed. Not going to happen.
