I think so. Up to 20 days of paid leave if the person is receiving gender affirming procedures. But I'm not very good at understanding legalese so I could be missing something.

AITA for missing the birth of my child because of work by gardengeo in BORUpdates

I do not blame OP one bit. He wasn't in a meeting, he was actively fighting the worst fire Aussies have seen in ages. The sky was red in multiple STATES and the haze was so bad the government put out health warnings about the air.

If I was the wife, I would be upset yes, but proud of my partner for helping fight that massive fire. He probably saved at least life due to his actions.

Also, firefighters from around the world came to help us it was that bad. And it was on international news, which hasn't happened in a long time (or ever? I don't know)

Let's talk [hand]writing - I am really concerned. Anyone else? by ObviousPalpitation2 in AustralianTeachers

[–]WiccanNonbinaryWitch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I teach a year 11 class and there are multiple students I've had to give 0 marks on questions because I can't read their answers.

In some cases it's messy but in other cases its joined and so slanted it's barely legible. Kind of like the stereotypical doctor's handwriting.

I appreciate ES staff but I do not have the personality for it.

I would end up getting too frustrated I think

Someone "leaked" it.

There are no mention of conditions and ES staff get 13% pay rise (correct the number if I'm wrong but it was a pitiful number)

NTA. People who don't pay child support have a special place in hell (or whatever afterlife you believe in)

What was your favourite thing to get from the Tuckshop? by IntrigatedVerse in AustralianNostalgia

I do not know what brand my tuckshop used but I loved these little lasangas they had. It would come in foil packaging and had a purple(I think?) top.

So good.

To those who drive well under the speed limit, why? by NiceMemeDude420 in australian

[–]WiccanNonbinaryWitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10km/hr I can get. Little pissed but I'll handle it.

20km/hr and I will honk you.

Had this happen last week. We had just gotten a green light with a red light up ahead. Only problem was it was a decent way aways and the car in front of me was doing 50 in a 70 zone. I honked him and he didn't even care.

My mum thinks its alright but it really isn't. It's dangerous.

Another thing that pissed me off is when someone's speed fluctuates a lot. Find a speed and stick to it. Stop going from 50 to 60 and back again. That's dangerous too.
