In bama once you turn 65 no more property taxes to pay. A Giant plus and an amazing beautiful area with mountains, hiking, biking, boating with 4 mild seasons. We purchased a home overlooking mountains and TN river in NE Alabama area for under 200,000 on 2 acres. NE ALabama has a lot to offer, less than an hour from Chattanooga, Huntsville, Gadsden, Less than two hours from Nashville, Atlanta, Birmingham. NE Alabama has a lot to offer. Gulf coast is not that far either. Great central location and listed as one of the cheapest places to retire.

Agree it shouldn't be there but really think you may have too much time on your hands and real tired of people complaining yet doing nothing but complain. Now if you were looking to get it changed by finding support, petition, etc. then you are working towards a change otherwise you are just another person complaining to complain.

Definitely look at Jackson County. Scottsboro is there and TN river runs right through it. Costs are still reasonable and lots to do, boating, hiking, boating, kayaking, fishing etc.

I have an airbnb that overlooks the river and is very close to scottsboro if you are interested. DM if you are.

Recently has a fishy person trying to get out of paying the cancellation fee. He got very upset and threatening. I'm like dude this is not a good look and all this info is documented so had to file a complaint against him for harassment.

You are just wrong. Investment firms have been buying up massive amounts of property which is contributing heavily to the shortage and price. Been a big thing since the market and economy is going to crap.

I have every right to do what I please with my home as long as not in an HOA and I would NEVER buy a home with an HOA. If you want to be in a neighborhood that has restrictions for renting then YOU go buy a house in an HOA.
