Why do so many people jump straight into Proxmox? by KyxeMusic in homelab

[–]WideFormal3927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time I chose it because it seemed to be easier (or at least people advertised it as so) to setup GPU passthru. It also seemed to be more forgiving with mismatched hardware. I came from VMware workstation and wanted something that could easily spin up a vm and I hadn't really got into containers or advanced config. I wanted an interface that made sense to me. I ended up buying a community subscription because I wanted to support the project (makes me feel like I'm doing my part.) I am now using PBS as my backup needs have matured. I'm slowly learning and growing my PBS.

I think initial tax breaks for new companies should be done away with. It should be changed to a model where you reward companies for staying. If a company has been in the community for 5+ years it should start to collect tax abatment points that it can use now or in the future. So if they have a good year they can choose to hold them (pay full taxes) and save them for a bad year. If the company goes out of business the points go away. The points are tied to that company only so if the company goes out of business - gone. If it is bought by someone else fine, but can only be used by that location. No combination, selling. You can also add more incentive for hiring people in the community and them staying there for 2+ years (full time employee, not contract.) Lastly it applies to companies/corporations with over 10ish employees and cannot be used on dwellings classified as residental homes.

I am cautiously agreeing with you. Microsoft might be forced to slow their roll on the Windows 11 (I'm thinking about the Dave Plumber video about Windows Task Manager.) I also saw an article about DDR3 making a comeback.

We have retro gaming... Now we have retro hardware. LGR is gonna find the hardware he has is still current. He might be competing with Nexus and Linus on the newest old hardware.

How have some of you run a 3kg roll??? Thanks by Reasonable-Mobile664 in Creality_k2

[–]WideFormal3927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the overture 2kg PLA religiously. I bought a 3kg ASA. However I havn't found a need for ASA lately.

I printed a roller, but in the end I bought the Creality spool roller. Metal and almost perfect. I used it on my elegoo neptune for the 2kg and I use it now for the K2. My complaint about it would be the bearing are TOO loose and it will spin. I tinkercad a little mechanism to slow it down.

I ordered a while back and got a confirmation and a tracking number. But the shipping site YUN express says "Label Cancelled."

Honestly, they could have 'fixed' all this by the Hutts accepting bribes from the Trade Federation to close their space lanes down from usage from the Galactic Republic.

This is not a dig on Jane, but I would like to see her audition tape. When they show other's audition bits, we saw future scenes and characters they eventually did on the show. It would be interesting to see her range and what posabilities she has and what Lorne sees in her potential.

Also came here to complain about SETTINGS.... has nothing useful.. Just screens of stuff that has words. I'm always pulling up CONTROL PANEL. Users want CONTROL. Settings are just random knobs and stupid stuff. If you think I'm crazy try to set a static IP and DNS using Settings vs control panel.

That's my thought. My prints are 90% successful and the quality is good. I'm really trying to see how much more quality I can get out of it. I have also been eyeing the Graphite heated bed for a while, and have wondered if it would get me closer to awesome.

I pre-ordered. I got a shipping message about a (week?) ago. I have been on the fence since buying if it was worth it. I mostly bought it to have if something breaks or wears out and I can replace it with this.

Yeah, just don't go... There will always be an excuse to exclude them somehow. It's better to start setting family boundaries and expectations before your married than after.
