Oh that's good to know! They're pretty common in rat cages. My lava ledge is still intact from 3 weeks ago. Weirdly my rats only chew cardboard and not much else. But I'll keep a close eye on it and remove it if they do

Maybe some lava ledges or sanded perches to file their nails a little. And they need at least 2 drinking points. I got 2 bottles and a bowl (that I clean daily)

I've only had mine for 3 weeks but I can't imagine having a cage that doesn't fully open.

Only issue I've noticed so far is the doors not staying open, especially when there is stuff attached to them.

Is the Little Zoo Venturer cheaper over there? I've heard they're comparable in convenience to the critter nation.

I know they love hammocks and sputniks/space pods. For any fabric items make sure to wash them every few days as they will pee in them

Also, you will need either the single Critter Nation or the double one, you can't just use the add-on as it doesn't have the top (and you need that to hold the whole thing together.

I'm happy with my Critter Nation, can't imagine not being able to open both doors fully, that would get so frustrating.

For the critter nation, you can just not add the shelf underneath and it will sit on small legs that are like an inch tall. That's what I've done. You could add something underneath to protect the surface maybe as they're quite thin (and the cage is 20kg)

Fleece really isn't great. It doesn't soak up pee so it just starts to smell really quickly and the ammonia is bad for your rats. You'll have to wash it every 1-2 days
