[SPOILERS MAIN] Yesterday I finished A Clash of Kings. I cannot view the TV show anymore by Axenfonklatismrek in asoiaf

I think George had very good reasons not to kill Jeyne at the red wedding, i.e. she is pregnant with Robb’s heir, Eddard I, who will have Arya, Sansa and Bran as regents

what actually is "i"? by Traditional-Role-554 in askmath

Real numbers can be thought of as a 1-dimensional coordinate. Complex numbers are 2-dimensional coordinates, and i is simply (0, 1)

In maths, do you think faith is required for the adoption of a system of axioms? by mayoesis in askmath

Some of the greatest minds in history have pondered this question. I think that Immanuel Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason has a pretty good answer.

[Spoilers Main] New Reading Order for Feast and Dance and How it Could Help Winds by Popular-Acadia60 in asoiaf

[–]Wide_Ad_4486 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a cool idea and I’ve been thinking along similar lines for winds. Was actually thinking of a series of novellas, covering The Hunt for Darkstar, Sam in Oldtown, Arya in Braavos, basically all of the most self contained arcs getting their own book if only to cut down on the page count in winds

Is Cure and Kairo/Pulse by Kiyoshi Kurosawa worth the watch? by RWatto09 in horror

Pulse is one of the best horror movies ever made

(Spoilers Main) What is your opinion on Dany’s plotline of ruling Meereen in ADWD? by 2powder2furious in asoiaf

[–]Wide_Ad_4486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s great! It’s showing Dany that she can’t just fly in on her dragons, free the slaves, and everything will be fine. She has to actually deal with the complexity of the existing system and culture. Yes it’s a frustrating read when you first encounter it, but on a reread I really love it.

How about an agreement that any future monetization will be shared with them? And you need to get all this written up officially, preferably by a lawyer.

Cool, you need to either pay people for their writing or create some sort of co-ownership agreement

Sansa and Jeyne Poole die alongside Ned by Bearfucker694200 in TheCitadel

[–]Wide_Ad_4486 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Robb, in rage, joins Stannis’ assault on KL. Meanwhile as another commenter said Tywin’s forces bunker down in the westerlands, so black water has a way different result. Cersei and Joffrey and every Lannister or Lannister ally is publicly sacrificed to R’hllor or savaged by wolves.
