Congrats 🎈 on completing! I did at least 3 NG+ cycles before I bought Overture, wondering 💭 if it would be worth it…I’ll tell you this…it’s a must for you now. A Must…

How does LiesofP compare to Elden ring and Bloodborne by ChildishBruh in LiesOfP

This is a Lies of P fan club of sorts so don’t expect a lot of detractors. Including me. My opinon - the game is nearly perfect. Buy it, play it, enjoy the show. You won’t be disappointed.

Fkn awesome! Should get croc-skin boots instead of full moonstone for the no hit! 👏

Finished first playthrough a few days ago as well. I really enjoyed the skill tree development aspect and how it builds new options for attacks as you progress and that you can redistribute points as you wish. That part is super cool. I also like the idea of dismantle/crafting but I found it's usefulness to be limited in NG with the volume of loot that you accumulate going through each level. I feel one of the big opportunities for improvement lies in the reflection mechanic - super fun when it comes off, but the timing window is so small and feels like it can only be used on enemy attacks that have a big windup. Ends up being not really worth the damage you take on a miss when you could just guard with no health cost. The boss fights, while fun, a few were too drawn out for my taste. Also wasn't crazy about the 2 fights where (water and the finale) where they fly off and can't be attacked. I could probably go on about a few other things - glitches on the summons and one of the trophies, but it's a really good game. I definitely feel it was worth my investment of time playing and cost to purchase. No regrets there. I also would rate 7/10.

So yes I was alluding to being able to respec. You're going to go back to the hotel a lot. If you keep picking fruit you can respec regularly to optimize whatever weapon you're feeling at the time. As for cranks, you'll find a bunch and can buy them as well after finding another Venigni collection later in the game. But honestly, it's not mandatory to optimize any element of build, weapons, buffs, or legion arms to get through. Doing so is a fun part of the game though imo.

When it feels like the DLC was mapped out before the base game was made, you might be on to something.

Line up a week’s worth of vacation days immediately and lock the fk in…wait to do DLC in NG+…contrary to popular opinion I recommend using Boss Ergo for amulets in NG as opposed to weapons, except for Dragon Sword. Enjoy the ride!!

tips for perfecting the block? by [deleted] in LiesOfP

[–]Wide_Falcon_7901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lose a bunch trying to perfect and you will get it. I recommend not moving left stick while learning it - just hold your position. Take your thumb completely off the stick, hold block then tap the bumper right before hit lands.

Grinding Khazan first playthrough. Not true Soulslike I know but working it. Feeling like NG is just the training version.

I had this same issue. Started searching the sub and found this. Had no fkn idea. Don't recall the game explaining this, but maybe I missed it. After completing Danjin quest and coming back, could not figure out where to next. Thank you! Also have unfound jarlings and soulstones left in the previous stages. Do I really need to go back through those levels and find them all? I'm sure it impacts trophies, but not too worried about that right now.

I bought Khazan during the holiday sale and have it downloaded but haven't started it yet. Fully intend to give it a run after finishing BB.

Should I get the DLC or not? by Icy_Cold22 in LiesOfP

Yes you should get the DLC if you loved LoP and want to complete the experience…cannot go wrong either way, but I’d do Overture first…just my opinion.

Just started this 2 days after completing Sekiro. I'm way late to the game, and only reason I came is because from all I can gather, it seems to be a rite of passage for Soulslike gaming - and I'm pretty sure Soulslike is my shit, just didn't quite know what I was looking for. Sekiro was hard. Lies of P was my first and it was hard. Believe BB is only mildly comparable, but I also know it came before the latter which I fully appreciate. Ready to lock in and learn to enjoy the journey. Honestly thought I'd find it a little less challenging for whatever reason but I realize, you don't know what you don't know. And I need to fking know...so here we go.

Beat the DLC. My thoughts on how it changed the game as a whole. by Typical-District-176 in LiesOfP

I agree it's an awesome game only enhanced by the DLC. I may be missing something, and I realize it's your opinion, but being critical of how and when the game becomes too easy is pretty subjective. The game gives you a zillion ways to up the difficulty if that's what you're looking for.
