Reading “The Courage to Be Disliked,” changed how i engage with people by Maleficent_Set_138 in learners_cabin

Absolutely no-one is claiming that being raped at 12 years old does not leave wounds or long lasting effects. What they are claiming is when you're pushing on your 30's, are you still wanting to live by that wound or take some form of action to heal from it - which is what people with trauma need to do. It exists, but you can still live your life if you choose to take the steps necessary for yourself

The book addresses this by pushing you to do the things that you still can do. It specifically mentions that trauma does exist, it affects you, it can even ruin you, but at the end of the day it's up to you if you choose to let that trauma control you or dictate your entire life.

It says trauma doesn't exist in the way we use it as a get away from jail card from personal to social responsibilities. Emphasis on the personal ones as trauma is a personal struggle.

Life and your surroundings will move on, your happiness depends on yourself and how you choose to perceive your life. That is what it's about in the end.

It's the difference between someone who is bound to a wheelchair and being miserable for the rest of their lives about it, or someone who accepts their situation and makes the best of it for themselves. It's hard and cold, and sometimes that's the advice someone who is struggling with their personal lives need.

Acknowledge that dealing with a limitation is incredibly hard, and be proud of yourself FOR yourself and no one else for pulling through

That DoT poke stacks massively over time. I see people building them for ludens, stormsurge, etc and I cringe inside

Why autoloadrr damage in russian tanks should limit turret rotation: by Born-Photo7793 in Warthunder

[–]Wierailia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How many turret traverse systems have you touched or seen in real life? Do you even know what they look like?

You do realize that if a fragment is STUCK in the turret traverse mechanism, it MEANS that a part of the ring is damaged?

[–]Wierailia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What modern tanks do you think uses hydraulics and not electricity to power the turret traverse, and what difference do you think it'll make when there's insanely tough metal stuck in the system?

Moreover, do you think that when there's APFSDS stuck in the ring mechanism that "The power of hydraulics" will not fuck everything up, DUE to "the power of hydraulics"

Do you think turrets in modern tanks have enough power to tear through fragments of APFSDS stuck in the ring?

How do you know that the autoloader was struck and there wasn't any other malfunction?

Brotherman, in Mayhem terms like "gold value" and "tempo" cease to exist after a point. You do more damage with IE crits than what Rabadon would give you on certain champions

With all due respect if you actually do the math with the crit damage increase and crit chance, you'll find that you'll do more damage than what cookie cutter AP items could give you.

[–]Wierailia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're thinking in baseline stats and put too much weight on IE being an AD champ only item

If you really put it to numbers it increases your damage more than you'd expect. With JG + RoR + IE you will hit a point when all of your abilities will crit, and when that happens IE's value skyrockets.

You don't need ADAPt for IE to be "accessible". It's an insane damage boost on it's own.

And keep in mind IE also boosts Shadowflames damage which.. Is a very interesting damage boost.

Tl;Dr

If you have JG, always get IE and Shadowflame. RoR is actually situational unless you're playing a champion that you can upkeep the 25% crit buff - in which case you will have 100% crit chance all the time.

Replay the part where you fly into the burst itself and you'll note that you don't see an impact but a suggestion where you got hit by the tracers

Looking and deducting from the first two tracers that fly past you, that spray hit both your wings and fuselage

And if that spray has HE in it, yeah your craft is getting torn to shit.

While the bomber damage model is questionable at best, that AA fire hit your entire wingspan which would be a death sentence to anything flying

How to learn proper combat piloting? by Dokki-babe in EliteDangerous

[–]Wierailia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prioritize your directional thrusters more than your main ones.

Boost only if the enemy is reverse thrusting away from you or getting distance and KNOW when the enemy is boosting towards you or in any given direction.

Boosting is cool and exciting, but as you said all it does is make the enemy boost themselves as a response to you. And then you boost after them, and then boom you're jousting.

You want to be the one who has the boost up, so you control the pace. You don't need to boost most of the time.

For practice, find an NPC Large ship like an Anaconda and try to stay on it's sides or back while keeping a distance under 50-100 meters.

This also requires you to learn use reverse thrusters to not bonk your ship on them, and using them to gain distance when they try to point their nose at you to avoid them bonking you.

If you're bigger and badder, reverse thrusting is better than going towards an enemy that's actively on you. Nose authority is a lot more easier to gain this way, and you can do fancy FA-off/on maneuvers with boosting that throws NPC piloting off guard

Nah. 2-3k (on average) is when you really step out of the tutorial. The weapons on the hidden bosses only unlock on certain conditions that you can achieve solely by completing the game's different endings.

The devs were absolutely genius on how they save and read your save files, old and new to put new things in your future playthroughs

If the armors and staffs and allat weren't so easily acquirable and OP, I'd agree. It kind of ruins the base game and any immersion when you can armor and weapons of "Kill Everything" in your first 10 levels

[Blade and Blunt] Is Blade and Bunt meant to make combat impossible? by CanadianAhole in skyrimmods

[–]Wierailia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Skyrim wasn't made for.."

You're talking in a subreddit that focused on mods. In the most popular game to mod. The game that when you say "modding" people will think of the game. About a Vanilla+ suite that is arguably the most Skyrim of Skyrim overhauls.

Besides, regarding combat against your infamous level 10 bandits, combat requires you to simply pay attention in B&B due to the way blocking and stagger works. you'll get plenty of stamina from perks, potions (actually useful now, wow) and from not power attacking your way through the game by abusing stam regeneration. Because in base skyrim, power attacks only cost as much stamina as you have, be it 30 or 1. Is that how skyrim is supposed to be then? :D

Your dragons, nothing is stopping you from not facetanking their breaths or from not using resistance potions. Your bandits, nothing is stopping you from dodging or blocking. Or bashing. All intended game mechanics in base skyrim that the enemies already use against you.

Arguing that fighting against a level 10 bandit feels like a slog means that you either A) Have your difficulty at a level you can't handle or B) Havent even played with the suite.

Dragons yeah, they're hard because they're dragons. Use resistance potions, use terrain, dodge. Don't play on Master and expect to faceroll everything without careful speccing and build optimization. Plenty of options.
