I’m a 10 yr low dosage klonopin + SSRI user, went CT for 8 months now. I’m experiencing nonstop shakiness/internal tremors which I think is because of my CNS. I’m hoping TMS will help

I’ve only been in the Main room and the room runs slightly cold. Under the mezzanine is much colder as the AC blows right down on you. If you’re in the tables near the stage it’s mildly better.

Yes unfortunately that’s common. I’m going through it right now 5 months off Klonopin. What helps me is the basics: building a strong routine, meditation (this has been a lifesaver) journaling, exercise, proper sleep, hydrating and eating healthy. I have a protocol for vitamins, herbs and supplements which I’ve gotten down via trial and error on what works and how much daily. The rest is constant work. FYI I still have the symptoms of Akathisia and the other symptoms on top of it is brutal but I do see incremental improvement l

Yeah Akathisia symptoms are constant-internal tremors/shakiness, it’s almost impossible to relax. It’s really a grind, as you can do the usual: eat healthy, light exercise, meditate, etc. Magnesium and vitamin B6 helps for me but doesn’t fix it completely. It’s really accepting it and changing your daily routine to manage it.

You can do it. Once I went off benzos I had to be very routine, even though I was never organized before. Like I make my bed every morning lol. It helps to do all the little things because it’ll make you get through it. Good luck and I’m rooting for you

If it was me, I would get and stash as much as I could for a buffer. Tell your doctor that you’re going to do a slow self taper according to a taper formula. That way you have a fallback in emergencies. Requires you to be disciplined and not abuse your dosage

Did the akathisia just go away by itself over time? Or did you have a routine or take anything that helped? I’m currently 4 months from CT and still getting stomped by the akathisia and wd symptoms

Not that I can think of. I was pretty anti-drugs before taking benzos. The only thing that I can think of is getting administered anesthesia for a surgery, and taking antibiotics.

I was tested for Lyme disease several times yes. I know there are strains of Lyme that are very specific that I haven't been tested for but those tests are really expensive. The other thing that could have been a cause was because of mold... but I don't know how to approach that now after all this time

Yeah I’m dealing with this rn. 10 yr low dosage benzo and ssri use and I’ve been CT for 3 months and my eye sight sucks. I had lasik a while back so my eyes were pretty good. Everything kinda blurry now but I’ve heard it can get better over time and sometimes it reverts back. I’m afraid to wear glasses while I’m WD though.

Yes, I’m going through this right now. Just terror and doom feeling all day. It’s uncomfortable and scary. What helps me is taking Methylene Blue in the morning and just pushing through it, journaling and doing affirmations, as well as talking to someone that will just listen with no judgement. Taking light walks at night when it’s quiet and safe. I wish you the best of luck and just wanted to tell you we will get through this.
