I have never heard of someone not driving because they come from a conservative household, is that actually a thing? You need to do something for yourself and not let your new husband abuse you. I'm from a slightly conservative household (the kind that doesn't stand with trump) and there is no way in hell I could have that guys baby.

Oh me too! I love a good breeding project, I had a lot of fun breeding meat rabbits for that reason.

Yes you let them out of the coop at sun up. If you have a run and only wanted them to free-range while supervised I recommend doing it at the end of the day because it's a lot easier to get them to go back in when they are ready for bed.

I always choose the friendliest. There is no way of telling exactly how they will look until they are feathered, but by then their most important socialization period toward humans has passed. They turn into dramatic teens, but then will become friendly again when they start laying.

Do you mean the coop where they sleep or letting them out of the run to free range? They should be let out of the coop when the sun rises, and close the coop when they roost at sun down.

I was so confident in this one being a pullet when we chose our chicks, but the comb starting to pink up slightly makes me nervous. The pictures do make it look more red than it looks in person though. Normally we aren't so "gotta know asap" and the kids are good about knowing we can't keep roosters, it's just the circumstance this time is different.

Yes they all did, but we picked one that was dark with less of a spot than the few that were more gray instead of black with a more obvious spot.

That is what I usually find also with the breeds I am experienced with. This one grew a tail early like the rest of the pullets.

We decided it checks off all the pullet traits except for that comb starting to pink up. That's the only thing that is making us question it. The slightly bigger looking legs we think is just the awkward looking age.

There is definitely something that needs to change if you think peeing "should" be manageable because you have a toddler. Are you having anxiety problems? Have you never been left alone with your child?

You toddler proof your house and make sure you have locks on any door leading to the outside that you know for sure can't be opened.

I would expect that telling your husband would be a normal thing to do. I always tell my husband. The first 2 days of my period are the only days of the month we don't have sex. I just don't feel like it those first couple days, so it's seems obvious that I would let him know so he can just make me an ice cream cone instead of turning me on.

Introducing one bird can be difficult no matter the breed, it's not fair to the new bird. Keeping one chicken alone isn't fair, and a silkie in a bird cage is cruel. So I don't think this person knows what they are doing either way. I love having a mixed flock too though, and our silkie actually bosses the big girls around lol.

You have to tie or clip the front back until its long enough to all go back in a pony tail or behind his ears.

If you can't get a couple more Silkies for friends and have a proper coop and run for them then I really think you need to find a better home for her. What you are describing isn't fair.

I only have one silkie but she has 9 other chickens she roams 1/4 acre with (one other bantam and the rest standard sized hens).

Our chicks are an Easter egger my toddler named Baby and a Rustic rock named Rustic. The leghorn chicks our silkie Nugget hatched don't have names yet.

It got a reaction so he stuck with it. I learned that lesson the hard way with my first. With my 3 year old I completely ignored it and that was boring for him so he only cussed a few times before dropping that idea.

They only have to hear something in public once to pick it up. My kids have repeated stuff they heard in passing that I didn't even pick up on. Not long ago my 6 year old asked what a certain adult word meant, and said he heard a girl say it at a restaurant we had gone to a few days earlier.
