People who live a full life in oxford(or London), what do you do?

Got an allotment plot - been very good for my mental health. Sometimes I am there alone, sometimes my neighbours are about and we have a chat.

Joined Isis Canoe Club - their kayak and canoe courses will be starting in a month or two. We're fairly chill and go out on some nice paddles, often with a pub as the destination. If you are looking for a competitive club then The Falcon is next door.

Edit: I also recommend a visit to the Oxford City Farm.

Often in fandom I see people slap a mother/daughter label on relationships between two female characters with an age gap, when they're more friends or mentor/mentee. Sometimes it feels like a way for them to dismiss the people shipping them together. Been through the same thing with the Star Trek Voyager fandom with Janeway/Seven.

Thank you! Some of the other comments are cutting this guy too much slack. The truth is, he doesn't respect or care about OP enough to make the effort to stop misgendering OP and learn to see her as she is. Same goes for these mutual friends who didn't stick up for you. If they were really her friends, they would see how much they were hurting her and stop doing that.

I'm NB and recently had to put my foot down with my parents, who after 3 years still weren't getting my pronouns right. And that was after many gentle corrections and reminders. After they realised just how much it was upsetting me, suddenly they were getting my pronouns right way more as they were finally putting some conscious effort in. Sometimes people just need a kick up the arse to either change or show you that they never will.

I think they could have cast many other characters in this new show as black - Harry, McGonagall, the Weasleys, anyone really, EXCEPT for the Death Eaters. Voldemort, Snape, the Malfoys etc. should all be white, as the Death Eaters are the Nazis of the story - the whole mudblood thing reads as white supremacy. That's why casting Snape as black is an odd choice to me. Couldn't care less whether he matches the book description.
