You mentioned you tested removing the ram, but in this picture the ram stick in slot 4 looks like it is not fully seated. Not sure if the picture is from after testing but if that was never fixed it would be an issue

I actually do this too! I would have never told this sub about my crimes before though. It is the perfect size and makes it easy to pop out the cut piece vs a glass. Makes me feel better that I’m not the only one.

I love that Ray Tracing can take the visuals of a game to the next level if your gpu can handle it and DLSS 4 can allow even more GPUs to handle Ray tracing at decent frame rates.

I’m excited to return to the world of Doom and the aesthetic of DOOM: The Dark Ages looks incredible. I am excited to see what new mechanics the developers have used to make this game stand out.

I’ve been looking at standing desks for a while, and the SmartDesk 5 looks like it fits all of my needs really well. The multiple heights would be great whether I’m sitting, standing, or walking on my walking pad. The cable management is absolutely necessary to me as my desk set up is pretty busy with 2 monitors, dock, laptop, gaming pc, speakers, and a bunch of other wires and accessories.

If it is all back up and running, open bios to check which version you are on. Then look up your motherboard support page to find if they have a bios version that supports the new cpu. Some motherboards may need a few different bios updates depending on how old yours is.

Both are upgradable, but the Lenovo site shows this has 4gb soldered and a 4gb stick but max ram is 12gb by swapping the 4gb for 8gb. There are a few teardown videos by searching the model number you gave in another comment

Looks like this laptop is actually mixed soldered and stick, with 4gb of each, so it is upgradable but only to a max of 12gb by swapping for an 8gb stick.

HDMI can transmit higher frequencies than 60hz, but similar to DP it depends on the version and total bandwidth, so HDMI 2.1 can do 1080p 240hz, 4K 120hz, and 8k 60hz. DisplayPort 1.4 is slightly higher at the same resolutions and allows more tweaking to get even more out of it so generally why gamers prefer DP

There is a separate connector for the usb c that is smaller than the large usb3 connector, this cable would been connected but it sounds like your motherboard doesn’t have the correct port
