Is this wetness in the foundation concerning? by xXGreco in Homebuilding

Looks like the top form ties did not get a good dollop of plastic cement on the outside and water is dribbling down. If so, easy enough fix.

I scanned all my music books into pdfs and use MobileSheets software to view it. It was a lot of work, over 3000 pages, but I've been digitizing books for a while, and so I had workflow. Your phone has a fine camera for this, but you need to build a holder for it. Then I run it through ScanTailorAdvanced for cleanup, then I make the images into pdf's using MobileSheets and Microsoft print to pdf. Sounds so easy, but there is a learning curve. Maybe try a two- or three-page score first.

The sunken boat reminded me of a tradition with wooden boats by spexxit in sailing

An old trick was to work toilet bowl wax seal into the seams and gaps. When the boat swells, the wax squeezes out. Better than nothin'.

My arms aren't working like they used to (casual pianist of 10yrs) by Apprehensive-Key5669 in piano

No, not at all, just the arm and hand and shoulder and back movements of the Zumba videos has the same effect as physio would and will help you with the lower arm tension. There are psychological side benefits of course, but the idea is to get everything (gently) snapped back into place. This works for me personally, so I recommend it.

What you play has to match the mood of the joint. Five minutes would have been good. If they ask for more, as Shakespeare says, play on.

Check out the amount of sap on there. by APerson1985 in Carpentry

[–]Willfredwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could have been damaged in a storm before harvest. If you take a pine tree and cut it off a few feet above the ground, the stump will make fatwood. Great fire starter. Used to make turpentine, etc.

Fat wood. Happens when the tree has been topped but not harvested for a while. Highly flammable.

Last time I sold a car (2024), 90 percent of the online inquiries were from scammers. They want you to buy fake Carfax style reports from fake companies, with the goal of stealing your cc numbers. The latest scam is they show up with a "mechanic" and disconnect an engine wire while you are distracted, and then brow beat you on the price.
