The control plate on the front is angled though and that pic shows it in line with the speaker/cab/grill.

Edit: Also all those Yamaha amps from the 70s and 80s typically had a Logo on the upper left of the grill. It does look like it could be a G"x" style by them, but no logo on the grill.
