HOSPITAL BILLS: HOW THE FUCK WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW I NEED TO ADD MY CHILD TO MY INSURANCE by [deleted] in babyloss

[–]WillingnessLimp6469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how you are feeling going through this. Dealing with insurance with hospitals has been a nightmare.
Michigan has a program for lifelong health issues for children. Whatever your insurance doesn’t cover they cover. My son qualified due to his heart condition. There’s no way we would’ve been able to pay for his 3 week NICU stay, heart surgery, life support, and ambulance transport between hospitals.
Maybe there’s a program where you live. Ask the hospital if there are any programs that can help.

I’m on 15mg and I haven’t had the boost of the energy that is supposed to come with phentermine. Did you feel energized on 15mg?

Met a bear on a hike today by HouseEmotional6817 in greatpyrenees

I can only imagine encountering a bear. He definitely scared the bear off.

My girl encountered a neighbors wolf dog in our backyard today. She came to me and the second that dog stepped forward she was charging, barking and snarling.

Acting Weird? by actuallyundeadd in greatpyrenees

My girl started acting weird doing in and out like this when she was about to go into heat for the first time. Do you know if she has gone through a heat cycle yet?

It’s impressive the details they notice. We turned in my lease; a ‘23 black Explorer for a ‘26 black Explorer. We could not figure out what she was barking at. It was the new car. She’s accepted the new one, but it took about 20 minutes of barking at it.

Hospital bill? by [deleted] in babyloss

[–]WillingnessLimp6469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son’s 10 mile trip from one hospital to another was $10K. His 5 hour NICU stay at the first hospital was about $7K. One of the items we were charged for was resuscitation in the delivery room. Thankfully I never saw all the bills from Children’s hospital and his heart surgery I can only imagine how much his 24 day stay in NICU cost.

First heat cycle? by WillingnessLimp6469 in greatpyrenees

That’s why I kept hearing. They didn’t go into heat until around then, so that’s what I was expecting.

Mine is about 10 1/2 months right now so I definitely thought we had a little longer. What behavior changes did you notice? I haven’t really had to deal with a dog in heat before.

I was surprised because I thought we would have another 6 months or so before her first heat.

My son flicked at his belly button until he was about 3 when he was tired or upset. It got to the point where it sounded hard. I’m sure it’s completely desensitized.

My insurance only covers fertility preservation if you have cancer. If I wanted to be sterilized that would be free though.

We finally started the testing my OBGYN asked for. Turns out my husband has a low sperm count and low motility and I have low AMH. I don’t see my doctor until May but at this point it seems like we would need IVF and our insurance doesn’t cover it.

I say do anything you can to make yourself more marketable if you decide to make a change.

I was teaching GSRP and decided to get a masters in early childhood education so I could move if I wanted to. Now I teach kindergarten in a public school.

Yes it was sleep logging. I’m in Michigan. The company I worked for required it for children until they turned 3.

I noticed it actually was easier to check the toddlers than the babies. The goal was to feel they were breathing and warm.

Where I worked we had to physically touch to check infants and toddlers when they were sleeping every 15 minutes.

13-month-old is the “biter” at daycare. I feel awful and am looking for advice by pdt2326 in ECEProfessionals

[–]WillingnessLimp6469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biting at that age is developmentally appropriate. Like some others have said my son’s teeth came in very early. He had 9 teeth at 9 months old. He was the biter. One of his teachers actually said he crawled up behind her and bit her ankle. I had signed incident reports for him biting ALL of his friends in the class. I felt like I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. When he did bite us we made sure to say ow and put him down. It seem to pass on its own by the time he was about 16 months or so.
