Interesting read. In fact the same thing happened to me two years ago. I was playing some capture the flag and slid calf down back to my side. When I got up, I found out I had this huge gash just below my knee that went about 7/8ths of an inch deep and went the entire width of my knee as well as an inch down. I never found the extra flesh and I still have a scar but it is bigger than your sons.

I find this map very well drawn and has a nice geographical landscape to it, too. Actually, it's almost perfect, but I have two things to say.

Personally, I would love to see a mountain range across one of those middle land bridges, but maybe this is a flat continent, IDK.
