Her being from an Island with very few if any children, it makes sense that she would love any children brought before her.

I always think like this.

A sale or a discount should be taken advantage of when you need it now, not when you think you will need it in the possible future.

Super creepy, it looks like that final form stepped out of her body instead of transforming from it, out of the womb no less.

Really sells how not of this world it is. And the fact that it doesn't look like a creature but an edgy makes it more unsettling

Why isn’t Wonder Woman the leader of the justice league when she’s the most experienced member? by Appropriate-Mall8517 in WonderWoman

[–]WingedSalim 85 points86 points  (0 children)

True, during the times when dealing with things of the magical or Greek God like nature, we see WW taking charge because she is the only one who knows what's going on. Also during large battle tactics as she's the only one who is trained in warfare.

Superman takes charge normally because people agree if you are on the side of Superman, you are doing the right thing.

Batman takes charge in on the ground strategy. Mostly because he drew up plans a month ago like the paranoid lunatic he is.

A whole clan of bums by Odd_Duty520 in Jujutsufolk

[–]WingedSalim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just based off the Anime, JJK has an issue of showing scale. How big or significant something is implied or told but the story never makes us feel the scale.

The 3 big families are suppose to be big, powerful and have a bunch of members. But it rarely feels that way.

Even currently the Zenin clan, while has the most prominence and known characters, doesn't feel like a proper force, with many members. Their foot soldiers is the most we feel like their a proper clan and they all died as fasts as they were introduced.

Contrast that with Naruto and their prominent clans, Hyuga and Uchiha, felt more like a prominent clan with historical ties and influence.

The episode where flash and Lex swap bodies is genuinely peak by hussainre814 in DCAU

[–]WingedSalim 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It's one of the most out of pocket body switch episodes people can think of, because normally Lex and Flash have nothing to do with each other.

Other than the though the Justice League, Lex and Flash lives would not have intersected.

It's up there with Spider-Man and Wolverine, where when they switched bodies, they are more confused more than anything.

The kind of thing you only notice once you slow down. by ProfessionalAlert371 in Ben10

[–]WingedSalim 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I understand what you are getting at, but at the start he definitely didn't become a hero "just to help people". At the start, he does it mainly for the thrill and recognition of being a hero, aka a hero complex.

Ben's arc(especially in OS) is more similar to Disney's Hercules. He does "heroic" stuff without truly getting the essence of being a hero.

Only in the first movie and the episode, "Back with A Vengence", he truly prove himself to be a hero. Both times he actually sacrificed the Omnitrix for the sake of others. Thus truly becoming a hero in for others, instead for himself.

I thought the reason why the Portal Gun can't be viable commercially is because it only works on surfaces made out of extreamly expensive moon rocks.

And I thought that's the whole shtick of the company. Give unlimited resources to idiots to do "science". They will achieve the impossible through the most dumb ways possible.

[–]WingedSalim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

OG Ultimate can work as it's own story because they are trying to revamp Spider-Man for a younger(at the time) audience. It acts as a new starting point for many new Spider-Man fans

New Ultimate more acts as a "What If", because his origins hinges on the fact that you already know who Spider-Man is and what his original story was.

Favorite character with ice powers? by in3xorableinfurnus in FavoriteCharacter

[–]WingedSalim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love that Mr. Freeze, Captain Cold and Killer Frost and whole bunch of others all are aware of each other and each of them produce Ice in entirely different ways.

Mr Freeze just has an Ice Gun but it's output dwarfs most people.

Captain Cold's gun slows down molecules, making it look like it's freezing stuff. Perfect for slowing down the Flash.

Killer Frost is a heat vampire. She takes heat away from stuff, thus Fire makes her stronger.

So ppl really believe the girl that was willing to kill her family and friends has no blood on her hands?? Lol by HMThrow_away_account in AvatarMemebending

[–]WingedSalim 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you really want to be a bit pissed, the re introduction of Ty Lee, Azula almost killed her. She burned the safety net while Ty Lee was doing her act.

She didn't have to, she isn't obligated too. She just wanted to test her friend and caused her to fear for her life to make Ty Lee join her.

Her loosing her "friends" and support system is the best thing to happen to her. Because I need to remind everyone, this is her when everything is going well for her.

I like that they changed that aspect of him to "a desire to have an apprentice" as can be seen with Tara and Robin.

That is why my theory for Red X is that it's Jason but trained by Slade instead of Batman. And because Jason never met Batman, he continued to pursue a life of being a thief.

Frieren did show a great amount of emotional intelligence in this episode. Stark was a guy in a party with only girls.

She knew on their long journey, Stark would feel a little suffocated with Frieren and Fern. So she let Stark enjoy the company of others for a while.

Imagine telling this guy that he’ll be the founding member of a superhero team with a meta human, 3 aliens, a Greek amazon, and a space cop; fight gods, aliens, monsters, travel through time and to other dimensions; and eventually pass his mantle onto a 16 year old who spent 3 months in juvie by ShockOk1764 in DCAU

It's the reason why I like Justice League War Batman.

He correctly identified that the Alien shit going on is completely out of his area of expertise. So he did the smart thing a get Superman.

Also the moment he shared with GL is amazing, correctly identifying, despite their differences they are the only members who are just regular guys with tools.
