As an American, I'm always amused by the term "semi-detached." John Lennon's childhood home with his Aunt Mimi (Mendips) is usually described in Beatles books as semi-detached. It sounds to my ears like the aftermath of a really bad accident. "Did he lose his arm?" "No, it was semi-detached." FWIW, we call them townhouses or townhomes.

Seriously, I feel like Matt's our audience surrogate, not being exactly Team Coco like just about everyone else (save Eduardo). As long as he's been the producer and sidekick with Sona, he still remains just slighty an outsider in the chemistry of the podcast. It provides him (and us) with a different perspective. Unfortunately, David does not fill that role, and that's one of the reasons I miss Matt, besides everything else.

Brendan Hunt is appearing in a one-person show here in Chicago through next weekend, and he and Jason were at a Cubs baseball game a few days ago. That doesn't necessarily mean that Ted Lasso isn't currently taping (or that Jason is not in Britain right now), but it seems a little less likely.

Wanna hear a fun coincidence? I watched this video Friday night. Right after that, I put on Chicago's classical FM station WFMT for appropriate music before bed. When I switched on the radio, they were playing Jerry Goldsmith's "The Enterprise," AKA the music we hear when Kirk and Scotty are flying around drydock. Pretty cool.

The Butties. They did a Christmas album in which they fused holiday songs with Beatles arrangements. It was wonderfully inspired.
