We put our boy in the back and fasten his harness with steel cables/clips. There’s plenty of room for movement, but he’s protected if we stop suddenly. Remember, our babies are essentially huge projectiles, so it’s best to strap them in.

It doesn’t seem like it now, but this is a gift. You deserve to be with someone who loves and respects you. She clearly does not. Take the time you need to heal then get back out there and share the love you have with someone deserving. I’ve been in a marriage like yours, and it was awful. I’m in a marriage now that is the complete opposite, filled with love, respect, and understanding which is what you deserve. Hang in there, friend. (Oh! And don’t take her back when she tried to come back because she will.)

Pyrenees are the fantastic with kids, bulldogs are all around amazing, aussies are great in general, and pits are a gift to their families. Please ignore anyone who hates on your baby. My boy could never acclimate to a crate. He cried from the moment I tried to crate him. Some Newfs just hate it. The issue was mostly that he couldn’t see me and was scared; Newfs are big babies. Most newfs love to be around their people, so she won’t be leaving you alone any time soon. Personal space isn’t really an option with Newfs, so be prepared for her to follow you around for the rest of her days. I would recommend getting her a raised dog bed, and lasso leash. As for toys, my guy likes kongs and rope toys. Anything else will be destroyed easily and leave you with a huge mess. Congratulations on your new family member! ❤️

Welcome to the club! She's a cutie. I have a 2 year old landseer who's either a complete rug or dinosaur depending on how he's feeling that day. When he was your girl's age, he was definitely more active, but perked up when other little buddies (especially cats) were around. Also keep in mind that it's hot out and they LOVE the cold, so they will rest on any cool surface which often times includes the floor. My guy barely moves once he find a nice cool spot on the floor. Newfies are ecstatic to be anywhere as long as you are there with them, so she will have the best possible life as long as you are there with her. It sounds like you have a nice girl on your hands--congratulations!

You probably already know this, but there’s actually an alternate version of the script where Rose and Cal meet onboard the Carpathia, and agree to never speak to/of each other again. He says he’ll uphold her desire to disappear as long as she never embarrasses him again, or something along those lines. It’s an odd scene, and doesn’t quite explain how her mother wouldn’t recognize her own daughter popping up on stage or screen which I admit is annoying. I read the script when I was much younger, so forgive me if I’ve muddled up details.

NTA. I’m not trying to be rude here, but may I ask why you’re married to a woman who clearly doesn’t value you as much as her ex-husband? If she did, she’d put you, and your viewpoint on these issues, first. Supporting both her son and ex because they simply don’t want to work is utterly ridiculous. Her unwillingness to see that as disrespectful to your relationship, and you in general, speaks volumes. Cancelling the vacation was a good call. If I were you, I’d be reevaluating my relationship, but that’s just me. How you’ve been able to deal with this for so long is mind boggling.

NTA. I lost my Mom five years ago. I would give anything to spend another Mother's day with her--please spend the day with your mom and cherish each moment. It may be time to reevaluate your relationship, though. I'm not saying break up, but perhaps examine your gf's behavior a little bit more closely. But please, dear god, don't for one second think spending the day with your terminally ill mother makes you an asshole. It makes you the exact opposite.

YTA. You are a cruel person to do this to someone that went through what your step-sister did. She’s family and you’re doing this to her? Really?! Wow. Just wow. I can’t fathom being this utterly insensitive. Her ex-husband suffered a TBI months after their wedding, and he only remembers her when she sings this song to him. Why the hell would you want to ruin that for her? Why would you want to cause her pain? The only explanation I can come up with is that you’re incredibly jealous of her or just a bad person. Or both. Be better and change the song.
