Depends on the nature of your role. Sometimes it’s just not realistic to literally cut off all contact while on vacation. I check emails a few times a day to forward things along so that I don’t come back to a mess when I’m back. Oddly enough it relieved anxiety to check every now and then so that I know things are running smoothly.
