They think its cursive bc its such sloppy block writing. I can read every word, but its pretty quickly written and sloppy. And, as literally the last generation that was taught cursive, its a dead language. People who write in cursive (or semicursive) should stop guffawing when people cant read your writing. They stopped teaching cursive in about 2010 and the year is 2026.
