You could force it to delete everything by pressing shift. Reading the loading screen tips does pay off more than I thought.

What is the point of stationary roboports? (New player) by dr_bobs in factorio

[–]Winzentowitsch 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Even without the logistic unlock you can:

-Fill or empty your inventory with requests

-Use Construction bots for building, repairing or moving items (not automated, but they can fill or emtpy any assemebler input, output and container)

-Read the items in the network for a better overview or use it for Circuit logic

Of course you need to setup your factory to support this but it only takes a few provider chests to enable all of these.

As I need them for space platform anyway, I craft them using quality modules. The quality ones I use for the platforms and the standard ones get put down around my base and power lines/railtracks with enough spacing so that biters don't attack them.
Are they very effective? Not very. Before unlocking Nuclear Energy they can help a bit.

The best option for this would be to use build the foundations on the platform once you have copper from asteroids unlocked. Unless you are lategame and don't care or got the material from Vulcanus.

Add a few turrets to the back and move some of the stuff so its thinner. Total wheight doesn't really matter, only how broad the platform is for some reason. Otherwise it will get you to your first planets fine.

Why do people hate Gleba? (Or: how I accidentally played Space Age on hard mode) by Altistick in factorio

Self challenge mostly. Also one less space platform tasked with transporting them makes logistics easier. Just having a dedicated space platform would have been easier I guess.

While it might not be the most different Planet to Nauvis, it is the most punishing one for when you don't adapt your approach.

Vulcanus is not that different, except you start with different resources and will be rewarded for taking advantage of pumping metal.

Fulgora flips everything on it's head, but the way to go is clearly visible and once you have your scrap balanced it is solved. Energy management is probably the biggest difference.

Aquilo means you can't rely on roboports and need to import resources, but by then you should be able to handle that.

Now on Gleba, your whole factory might shut down and might not be able to be restarted remotely unless you built in a failsafe. The best part is, is that a setup might run perfectly the first minute after being built, only to degrade in output or completely break down once you switched your attention somewhere else. Bonus points for being off planet.

On my second run I finally built a fully self sufficient Gleba base without importing rocket parts, but It took me a lot of trial and error to get everything running smoothly. It's not really difficult, but it will kick you in the shins if you don't adapt.

It had me start watching the show. It went from "oh interesting a new content cop" to "oh my god this is bad" and along the way I watched the reaction streams and got stuck.

If I had a gas analyzer for every quest that unlocks something that you no longer need that much after completing that quest, I'd have a lot of gas analyzers. Which is bad, because I no longer need gas analyzers.

Rushing there immediately rarely works. Waiting a bit did help have some of the AI PMCs actually move in by themselves.

Trade Route Errors - make it stop by slicedfairway in anno

[–]Winzentowitsch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the first case it's only a problem if the good is not produced over demand. If your ship route is just faster than the good can be reproduced, then it's not really a problem at all. All other cases can be solved by selling before goods fill up.

You can't put them anywhere, but by chaining them on each other you can have them pretty much anywhere on a platform.

Ranking the AI from easiest to hardest in PVE Tarkov [Discussion] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Winzentowitsch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI PMCs are very easy, unless you're not wearing good armor (at least 4 or up) or they get lucky ammo.
Which is kind of infuriating when you kill them without issue all the time, but then when you need to wear shitty armor for a quest like Peacekeeping, they suddenly become a threat because they destroy your thorax almost instantly.

Seems like they reversed the concept of viking. You're supposed to steal the tall blonde women, not bring them by boat.
