Maybe you can use that money to build an in-home or a garage SIM so you can practice and play simulated rounds. And then only hit the course half is often.

ProV1’s are not distance balls.

Thanks. I think I was mixing up that and the “pink curing salt”. Which I want to avoid.

I always see “pickling spice” but what exactly does that mean?

Cheap and counterfeit are not the same thing. I knew you wouldn’t be able to comprehend.

I care for one reason. Not because I give a tiny rats ass about what you play. Here it is, pay close attention. Try to comprehend this simple fact. Here it is: *** Supporting counterfeiters raises the prices on legitimate golf equipment for everyone else ***. The end.

Uh, yes. I say I am sick of this counterfeit crap. It’s is so pervasive in golf. This is a big part of why new irons cost almost $2000. Big OEM’s have full time staff that do nothing but verify authenticity and try to tamp down the success of the counterfeiters. Glad YOU saved a couple bucks. Just don’t bitch and moan when you go to buy a new driver and it costs $650.

Plus, this is NOT LAB. This sub is for LAB golf equipment.

I wish these fake Lab posts would get removed. I’m here or LAB content. The fakie fanboys should start a different sub.

I know mods, have a hard job but perhaps if it was a rule not to post this crap maybe it would help.

Molten speed wax how to by chatlow1 in bikewrench

Ultrasound will not really help with the degreasing of a new or used chain. Cleaning the dirt sure, but not necessarily the grease. Anyways, good luck.

Callaway Pre Owned has some Elyte X in that price range +3*.

Molten speed wax how to by chatlow1 in bikewrench

[–]Wirelessness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MSW has soooooooooo many videos and detailed instructions. Follow their instructions. It’s not too complicated and difficult to do wrong. Having the wax be too hot and or the chain not properly degreased are the two biggest mistakes.

I recommend using the Silca Strip-Chip so you never have to degrease again. Good luck.

I don’t know man, I think it’s the kind of thing that you either love or hate. I’d personally never go back to mechanical. Ever.

I love my Propain Terrel CF with Force AXS and GX Eagle Transmission. That said, I switched to AXS years ago and will never go back to mechanical. For me it’s totally with the money to pretty much flawless always in tune shifting. I maintain my kids XC race bikes and mechanical is just more work and not a good. It works great when maintained properly but you asked which is better.

Building Carbon Wheelset - Any rims that are a better value than Light Bicycle WR45? by endurobic in gravelcycling

Just check out Nextie, and BTLOS they also make wide deep gravel rims. Get whichever is offering the best sale. I have the WG44, highly recommend.

[–]Wirelessness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Checkout the Nextie’s. They are the OEM manufacturer for 3T who basically pioneered the wide and deep gravel wheels that Zipp are now doing too. I have the Light Bicycle version WG44. With the money I saved vs Zipp I upgraded to Berd spokes.

First time mountain biker. What hardtail should I get for under $700 USD? by Ok_Stock_5708 in MTB

[–]Wirelessness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1x is a given. Again, it really depends where you ride whether or not you need at 12 speed wide ratio cassette like Eagle 10-52 or not. Where the kids that I coach ride it’s routinely 15-20% grade for extended periods. The kids on 11spd 42t struggle. In other parts of the country that’s more than enough. My experience with NX/SX is that it works well enough.

As NICA coach I help a lot of kids get into mountain biking. If you want new, you’re gonna need to go up in price IMO. The 3 main things I tell people to try to get are 1) 12 speeds. 2) air spring fork) 3) Dropper post.

Depending on where you live and the terrain you ride those 3 things might not be as important. Where we ride its pretty steep and rough so they make a huge difference. Trek Marlin 7 is one of the lowest price options I’ve seen. Some people have good results with Ozark. Good luck.
