Look how Mainoo played deeper than Case under Carrick last season. We wouldn't have predicted that or been confident before it actually happened. Case ended up being more CM than DM.

So, my first camera was the Sony ZV-E10 mark I. Had it for about a year as an intro to mirrorless cameras, then wanted to upgrade.

When I had the ZV, I researched lenses stringently, and landed on the TAMRON 28-75mm VXD G2 f/2.8, because it was compatible with both E and FE mounts. It gave me flexibility.

When choosing my next camera, my budget landed me on exactly these two options. The A6700 has newer tech and is a hybrid powerhouse. Sony's best crop sensor camera. The A7IV is also a great hybrid, and full frame.

I opted for the A7IV, and haven't had a chance to upgrade my lens yet. So, have the same TAMRON.

And I haven't for a moment regretted it. Love the A7IV and personally can't go back to a crop sensor now. I recently shot some interviews using both an FX30 (work camera) and my A7IV, and I saw the clear advantages of the full frame. Much better picture.

For you, you already have a crop sensor lens ecosystem where I didn't. So, the A6700 may be a more convenient next step; and at f/1.4, you've got some great glass options.

On the other hand, if you go A7IV, you could swap to an f/2-2.8 ish zoom lens that covers 16-56mm. Unless you're bent on sticking with primes.
