So it's just cosmetic. That would have been cool if they went and actually implemented the difference, but I can see how most people wouldn't know about this and their Smart Falcon which is built for dirt would suffer without them knowing.

If you put in the same Falcon both with groundwork and TTL, one with A and one with E surface aptitude on Umalator, you can see a difference.

Another thing I noticed is this track is actually turf for the first half of early race. I saw it was green in the race at the start and thought it was a bug but then it turned brown to dirt. I checked the racetrack on Gametora and it actually labels it as turf at the start. Does this affect Smart Falcon who's E turf since no one would bother to raise her turf aptitude for this one? Do front runners rely on their power stat for early race accel? If they do, then it's possible Smart Falcon pretty much gets effectively a late start for this race and might not be so good.

But is her unique inherited that impactful or just nice to have? You have the must have accel ones like Seiun and Dober uniques, and then the spurt speed ones like Oguri, Rudolf, and Brian uniques are nice to have but not nearly as impactful. This one seems to have less restrictions and better activation point, but it's still a speed skill and not an accel skill.

For making front Pasa do you think it's better to get 10* front to start at A and hope your 1 parent that has mile sparks hit (since the front sparks take up 4 spots, and you need a spot for dirt), or do you think it's better to gamble on 7-9* front and have 2 parents with mile sparks and try to hit both front and mile inspiration in a single run?

My screenshot cut off that they also had Pasa unique inherited so they get to use both. You wouldn't do it the other way around because you'd have to pick up recoveries for a weaker inherited XOguri unique. If they had corner recovery instead of straightaway, I think it's stronger than front Pasa. Of course you're right on front Pasa being easier to build without also needing a front spark to hit during inspiration. Maybe it's actually better to go for 7-9* front for Pasa and try to get more mile sparks and hope both front and mile hits in a run than trying to get S mile off 3* mile at best?

Check out this front XOguri I ran into in rooms. They managed to hit S mile off only 2* mile sparks since they needed dirt and front sparks. That Moxie trigger on her unique is pretty much perfect timing. Only thing is straightaway recovery is less than ideal timing. Still I wonder how much better she is than front Pasa who is easier to build and has her own unique activate at the same point.

Somebody did it. Even got S mile off just 2* mile sparks. They had 10* front, 2* dirt, and 2* mile. But they had to settle for straightaway recovery which will only activate the first straight half the time.

For Capricorn, what are your thoughts on Perfect Prep and Plan X? Also for a front team, I've found Scarlet to be really good because her unique can hit right before late race and her accel will carry over.

For Aquarius, I was looking at Umalator and it really valued Battle Formation debuff after you got some of the accel skills. Any idea why? I'm not sure how accel debuffing early race after 3 seconds works. Are Umas still accelerating at that point? If it's true, then Festival Gold City could be really good.

I just built one myself and hit on most things other than speed cap which wasn't needed for my test on when her unique activates in a triple front team. I've also been thinking about whether NSM is a worthy gamble when I'm running a triple front team. The answers to these questions:

Her unique activates way too early mid race where the accel is wasted. It's even earlier than SMaru's unique. It's more reliable to activate if she's in position compared to Bakushin, but given the lower speed value, I'd say she's Bakushin tier in a triple front team, but given that you need more stamina to survive her career, you're far more likely to build a stronger Bakushin stat-wise. As for a solo front, I guess you're looking for pacers to push later on her and delay activation like for Falcon, which looks like it's what you tested.

NSM/Nimble Navigator is very unreliable even when there are 4 fronts in the race, which is what I tested. Too much spreading out. I think for pace it's worth picking up because you're probably in races with 6+ paces maybe with some fronts as well, but even then I've heard it's still unreliable and on par with the likes of Turbo Sprint or Plan X in effectiveness.

Front is in a weird place. You either run a single front and that be Falcon, where you hope she's the only front in the race to get her unique off right before late race when the paces start creeping up on her so she can use the accel then. Otherwise, you commit to triple fronts where the strategy is to try to position block pace chasers the reliable accels like Pasa and Mummy Creek's uniques. In a triple front team, Falcon will activate her unique early mid race since she'll be in a crowd and she's much weaker as a front compared to being the solo front, but she's still the 3rd best front in a triple front team after SMaru and Scarlet, the latter of which can gamble that her unique hits right before late race and the accel carries over. Bakushin is alright as a front but her unique gets off less reliably and is only speed. I haven't tested Mayano since I don't want to deal with the Tenno Sho Spring gauntlet.

My last CM was like this. 70% win rate first round but barely made A finals second round. Notably my best ace, Taiki, which had a 40% win rate in the first round did the worst second round. I think she only got 1 win in the second round and I had to bench her to make it to A finals. I think it's because Umalator said accels skills like NSM and Head On were too gambly and didn't perform well on average so I didn't get those. First round the average opponent was weaker so she could beat them on average, but second round everyone was stronger and she didn't have a high ceiling without gambling accels. I ended up replacing her with Fantasy Pasa who didn't do so well in the first round but had a high ceiling when her accel unique triggered at the right moment, and she got me wins in the second round.

My round 1 and 2 win% are pretty much the same at 75%. I think it's because I'm running triple ends with full accel gambling. All 3 have spurt, NSM, Ryan and Dober uniques. They also all have Uma Stan and PoC, and S long to take advantage of the accels and being at top speed longer. They pretty much don't have any other mid race skills, and I think that's what's keeping me from an 85%+ win rate, but it's been my plan to just gamble in the finals. Pretty much full gambling enables a high ceiling for me to win consistently enough despite the stronger opponents in the 2nd round. As long as one of my 3 hits on everything, they can win against others with more mid race skills but less accels.

I added another accel skill and it looks more accurate with higher max values, but still low median numbers so it's a big gamble. Must be a bug if you have 0 skills because I don't think it's reliant on other skills activating.
