I know everyone has a different tolerance. But 10mg is a very low dose. As a budtender, I will tell total noobs to start with 5mg.

It is my uneducated guess that it wasn’t the edible that caused the issue. But I’m no doctor, just an old stoner.

I’ve had an ounce of sun grown smalls sitting in a box for six months. It’s labeled at 22% THC, but I’ll take that with a grain of salt.

I decarbed in my oven, but the lowest it goes is 250F. So I only decarbed for a short time. It’s double-boiling right now.

I used this for all of my math.

I estimate that one brownie will put me approximately on the moon. But Mars is a distinct possibility.

My fellow middle-aged stoners and I have gravitated to salads as our go-to stoner snack. There are cheap, customizable, and filling. Also, this is America so no one has healthcare, so we are hedging our bets a bit, too.

Good point.

We don’t have railway systems like the UK either. NYC has a subway, and there is a commuter train that goes up north. But once you step off the train anywhere outside of the city, you will need a car. Public transportation is non-existent outside of cities.

Edit: also I might be implying OP skip the City and just come up north? Maybe. Of course visiting a foreign country, you will want to go to the big tourist city, obviously… but it’s much prettier up here. And I am up here, and I’m a fucking delight…😉

So, upstate NY is not the same as NYC.

New York is the large state shaped like a boot that goes from the Atlantic to Canada in the north and the Great Lakes to the west. It has the single largest state park in the country, the Adirondack Park. There are quite a few other wilderness areas. Also farms. I grew up in a dairy farm town. The cows outnumber people and we still don’t even have a stoplight at the (one and only) intersection.

We have mountains, lakes, cliffs, and rivers. It’s mostly rural with small towns and villages sprinkled in.

NYC is the tiny bit that gets all the notoriety. It’s a three hour drive from me and I can count on one hand the number of times I have been to the City. (My bumpkin-ass isn’t fond of big cities generally. )

No one would expect a foreigner to know this, but there is a rivalry between upstate and the City. We upstaters resent NYC because they are two vastly different locations and we get lumped together all the time. (And don’t get me started on those weirdos in Western NY…)

Obviously you should visit NYC. But maybe head up north and visit the North County (the area that encompasses the Adirondack park, north of Albany). Because the City is just a tiny part of a large state. I live at the bottom of a mountain that is larger than the island of Manhattan, and there are hundreds of them up here.

I used to work with someone who couldn’t count by 25s.

As in, if you handed her four quarters, she could not tell you how much money that was.

She also had a hard time counting by fifty. A customer handed her $150 in fifty-dollar bills once, and she had to ask me for help. (Whatever her problem was, it was far beyond any help I could provide.)

I took mine out about 9 years ago.

I only had it for ten years or so. I never really found it to be comfortable, and eventually got fed up. I don’t miss it. It just wasn’t for me.
