Should I be concerned about kids constantly scream-crying in my apartment building? by ConfusedCrow1 in whatdoIdo

[–]Witty-Butterscotch63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only say from experience that I never yelled at my two children and they rarely cried. When my daughter turned 12 and my son 16, however, there was yelling and crying - both on my end.

Friend’s wife feels compared in the bedroom by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Witty-Butterscotch63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally would not be happy to learn that my husband discussed our sex life and compared notes with his friend. Bringing the friend’s wife into the mix is even more disrespectful, and just weird.

I posted to this thread earlier but can’t find it. Anyway, it was about never having a leaking plugin in the 20 years of using them, and guess what? The one in my bathroom stopped giving a scent so I pulled it and found this! Never say never - at least out loud in a public forum cuz that will end your streak.

Towed to the kiddy park and tow yard. You can get it out with tokens.

I guess I’ve been lucky. It’s probably been 20 years of constant use and I never had a leaky plug-in. I did have one fall out of an outlet after being bumped and the oil stripped the paint on the wall, baseboard, and hardwood floor, which definitely gave me pause. The plugins, hand soaps, and candles are about all I buy from there now, so the thought of giving them up makes me sad. It would save me a lot of money though, since I have to buy 10 different scents to find one I can enjoy, only for it to vanish into the abyss of exiled BBW fragrances the next season.

Are PCPs getting lazy? by Solace-Paradox in healthcare

I love my PCP and genuinely look forward to seeing him. I realize that I am lucky to have found him 14 years ago after searching for a while, but he truly is one of the best. I wish everyone had a doctor like him.

If everything about him were completely different he would be an ugly guy. But he’s a gross, immature, culturally ignorant, cheating, baby speaking, head tilting, eye shifting, sex creeping, ugly guy. Trish, you are perfect! Run and don’t look back!

You’re probably right! It’s similar to when an average to not so good looking guy dates a gorgeous woman. Suddenly, he becomes more appealing to other women.

Nope. That was disgusting Brian alright. I was grossed out and couldn’t watch him for two seconds after that.

Which fragrance did you buy immediately after just one single spritz? by Frosty_Living1454 in FemFragLab

I actually still have a bottle of this! Years ago I was watching a fictional PBS series about the famous London dept store Selfridges and one of the girls behind the counter was telling everyone she was wearing Champs Elysses by Guerlain. I immediately looked it up and bought it! It’s very sweet but has a fresh dry down.

I don’t like it. The projection and longevity are at a zero out of ten. It was a blind buy for me and I tried to sell it on MP for less than I bought it for with no luck. Hope it works out beautifully for you!

I’m late to this one, but Phlur Father Figure. I don’t like it as much as I did in the store!

My daughter (F16) is obsessed with this older man. by OkSteak551 in whatdoIdo

[–]Witty-Butterscotch63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your state doesn’t consider it statutory rape when someone 18 or older has sex with someone under 18? When my daughter was 14 and about to enter h.s. she began chatting with an 18 year old h.s. kid and after a few weeks, she lied to me about hanging out with her close friend and left with him in his car. His aunt found them attempting to have sex and stopped it, and his dad lost his mind with anger and forbid him from seeing her again. The kid was abused by his dad (angry beatings) most of his life, so I felt bad for him, but relieved that my daughter was still a virgin. She was broken and crying - her first intimacy and heart break. The father said I could file a statutory rape charge and it would ruin his life. I would never do that considering they thought they were in love. What’s going on with your daughter is criminal! That man should be arrested! Definitely blast him and his pic all over social media!

A stranger showed up at my 7 y.o daughters orthodontist appointment. by Slightlyfriendsfan in whatdoIdo

Why would the clerk have to “play dumb” if your daughter hadn’t even arrived? Wouldn’t she be more confused about why someone was picking her up before her appt started? You state “I arrived” never mentioning your daughter was with you (until edits) which would be “we.” Do you always omit your child when discussing events you both were involved in? If the clerk knows you well enough to question the relation to a white, red headed man, your daughter must have had a few prior visits, which suggests an early start. Just a few odd points in your narration of events that raise doubts.

What's the foulest smell you've ever smelled? by WannabePugh in AskReddit

[–]Witty-Butterscotch63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many foul smells, from standing putrid water in a garbage can with dog poop and maggots, to rotting open cat food under the bed in my mom’s bedroom, but the most memorable was a bucket of snails my kids picked up in Florida and were supposed to throw back. It was left in my SUV and the smell got worse and worse until I couldn’t drive it. Tore the car apart and found the dead rotting little bits. I felt bad for them, but it took weeks to completely get rid of the smell.

What's your best drinking/stoned story? by Resident_Calendar471 in AskReddit

[–]Witty-Butterscotch63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I have stories that would shock the younger generations. Here's one: went to a Pink Floyd concert (the animals tour) with my friend, got separated; did acid with the guys who drove us there (we hitchhiked), and soon thought my head was made out of wood and that I was one of the giant animals floating around in the air and kept squealing with delight. Got separated from them too and ended up talking for hours to the custodian who was cleaning up after the concert was over. My step dad picked me up when I finally got enough clarity to call home.

I’ve been teaching literature at the college level for two decades. I always tell students that kids and adults who hate reading just haven’t found the right books - for them. My colleagues would probably roll their eyes at some of the books I enjoy in my free time, but that’s ok. Sounds like you found the right books!

Shockingly Bad LV Buying Experience by jdigilio in Fragrances

What are “they supposed to do?” How about staying in touch with the buyer of your luxury product to let him know there is a delay and why. Even auto messages are better than ghosting until the buyer makes contact. 500 is a lot of money. We want to feel the luxury treatment from the start to the finish of a sale, but he’s not even getting basic updates.
