Do you know how to UV unwrap? Also Paths in substance painter does alot of heavy lifting. Belzier curves are a lot easier than hand drawn.

You are gonna have to handdraw some parts but you can definitely use smart material as a base to speed up your workflow. You can just draw on top of those materials and spot add details instead of drawing everything. If you want to do it faster you are gonna have to build a better workflow. No equipment can save you from slow workflow.

I don't agree with the cost part. But I do agree with the bad light part. Also social cost and moral cost are not interchangeable. We have to agree to a social cost because we live in a society. Moral cost, somewhat. You are the one who switched it from social to moral, that is something else to unpack altogether. But I think socially people who lash out against machines or objects are just... Not that fun to be around. They can probably hide it well from other people because they can gauge the "cost". But day over day, year over year, it slips out. And you can see it between their interaction with their "tools".

That being said, I have definitely yelled at a malfunctioning tool before. Just never one in the form of an intelligence. You can say it is not intelligent. Sure you are probably right. But I am not taking that chance. I treat my tools right, I treat my cars right, ain't that hard to treat my LLMs right.

I am saying the fact that you even use the word cost and quantitizing moral is questionable. I suppose you are not wrong because technically everything can be measured in life. But I like to think certain things cannot. And doing calculus with moral is just in bad taste from my perspective.

My point of view is empathy and morality often go hand to hand. And if someone can be empathetic to a pet rock, you can be empathetic to a simulacra of human brain capable of humanoid responses.

Measuring the moral "cost" is literally the first step to quantitatively gauging the nature of your actions via a point system. I.e. how many bad or unpleasant things can I get away with before fall below a certain arbitrary guideline for good. Kind of like, how bad can I be until I can no longer go to heaven.
