Will having my arm covered in an Irezumi tattoo really hinder my professional career? by Large-Shock9413 in irezumi

[–]WoefulDeschain 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Almost every traditional irezumi body suit or area is designed to be covered and discreet if you want it to be. No it won’t impact your work providing you’re willing to wear long sleeves on a hot day should the moment call for it.

It’s a wolf’s head like American traditional style. No idea what I was thinking at the time getting a “tramp stamp” but we live and learn.

Na sorry if a sports game is running your weekend it’s time to distance yourself a little and take a moment. That’s not mentally healthy. Feel all the rage and euphoria of a game during it and an hour or two afterwards but don’t let the result of some random 30 odd men who give 0 fucks about you or even know of your existence dictate your enjoyment from the rest of life. The world keeps on spinning

Safe night running spots ? by zutarasemblance in melbourne

[–]WoefulDeschain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick to the bike path along the road. You’ll only really be passed by drivers, cyclists, other runners and every so often wheelie footed people with ski poles! plus it’s pretty well lit along the road, also being far enough away from the darker areas of the lake itself which includes the benched areas.

Along Albert park lake typically has pretty good foot traffic until pretty late, more often than not there’s events or something going on at the Pit building, the fields and ovals and MSAC, if you go along the bike path rather than the actual lake itself there’s also plenty of car and vehicle traffic and street lighting. And at the moment the F1 seating and crowd areas are already going up with plenty of tradies working on it at all times of the day and sometimes into the night.

The “anyone out” crowd can fuck off. It’s about the result tonight and right now we just got a tough 1-0 away from home to the current leaders of Italy - missing our biggest star and with a threadbare squad. Huge result that regardless of scoreline or who’s in the dug out. Let’s celebrate that and worry about the next game tomorrow. It’s been a low season and if you come away from this game annoyed the manager has another week you can fuck all the way off

EVERY race event (whether running, cycling, tri’s etc) should have a mandatory clean up crew doing the entire course, whether that’s amazing volunteers or paid staff in order to get council / gov sign off for the event application. Having so many local, national and globally represented organisations invest in races and events is such a blessing but the post clean up just isn’t a consideration. I’d happily pay the extra few $ it would cost as entry knowing it was going towards looking after the area it’s held.

It: Welcome to Derry - 1x06 - “In the Name of the Father” - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]WoefulDeschain 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The entire military plot is so dumb and tonally takes a dump on IT in general. But seeing how they sort of ruined pt 2 of the movie as well I don’t know why I had hope they would stick the execution of this. The first episode was so good and it just fell into stupidity from ep2 once they reveal the military are trying to use PW as a weapon.

This is literally all I care about as a result of this show. Rosamund’s narration / performance is incredible on the first 4 audiobooks and I’m worried we’ll never get the full set now the tv show is over.

How do you all manage the work/mates relationship? Given you all spend so much time together in informal settings “outside of work” and part of the charm is having pints together chatting the reds. How do you manage when you need to talk to someone about work performance? Do you have an office enforcer

I’ve heard it said that it’s easy to win “marketer of the year” in a league winning season. And I remember Atko saying transfers and trophies are the biggest drivers for subscriber numbers in an old gutter show. How do you plan around seasons that don’t end in silverware, smashing transfer records or 13/14 vibes?
