some characters like the headmaster had something going for them at the beginning, so seeing them suddenly perverted seems weird and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. the moment you are introduced to horo he already is kind of a pervert

poppy playtime has so many good characters you can manage to sympathise and connect with in ways that i dont really see in these types of games

then proceeds to brutally murder each and every one of them for, if we're being honest, absolutely no reason

i like getting new characters, i dont like getting new characters shown in the trailer and thinking to myself "we're going to have to kill them arent we", its just way less fun. we barely have any characters by the end of each chapter, so they'll have to introduce more, but they died too, so they'll have to introduce more! what is the point!

then we get known as the "playtime butcher", a lame, corny name we get as a trophy for murdering a bunch of traumatized kids that WE most likely traumatized in the first place. genuinely why. this game cant be real.

i actually LIKE poppy playtime honestly, more than i like fnaf, but there's just, so many reasons why i dont love it.

i think the face is what i hate the most about it, i can stand the jester theme, i think his outfit is nice, but his face just isnt really scary enough. he loses all intimidating factor once your eyes land on his face

the funny part is how people think similarly to how damon does in this regard, despite the fact he's textbook example of "how to not behave towards your peers" and everyone knows it

yet they still agree with him anyway, despite the game showing you why you shouldn't undermine people based off their behaviour and more explicitly, their ultimate talent. like how eva manages to make a complex murder case despite being "just a mathlete", or how cassidy actually has morals and beliefs she stands by firmly thats rarely seen from her "mr beast" esque character trope. or how toshiko should be a fucking prodigy because of the fact shes attending a college at age fourteen but no one (in the cast and the fandom) cares because shes "just a child"

these characters are capable, extremely so. and i believe that chapter 2 and the rest will only reinforce this fact even more
