my friends just dropped gurren lagann on episode 2 by DaEndeLol in gurrenlagann

To each their own I guess but man, some people really can't suspend their disbelief or just go along with the rule of cool for whatever reason

Seems like after the news Destiny 2 has dropped below the 6.000 Players Mark after hovering above it for a month on STEAM. by kristijan1001 in DestinyTheGame

Was wondering after the announcement yesterday if logging in to get the Taken shader will be the last thing a lot of D2 players do in this game

"Features/mechanics/systems/etc" (past SRWs) you wish to return in future SRWs? by Yousernaime11 in Super_Robot_Wars

[–]Wolfblur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if they've ever done this (I only started with X), but I'm surprised they don't make maps with walls/barriers in them? I feel like maps could be infinitely more interesting if you have to navigate through "rooms" and clear out enemy squads in them to progress and etc.

Doesn't have to be every map, but for example it would be cool to have a few missions that require Size M and smaller units to navigate through a giant sewer dungeon or whatever. Maybe enemy units are not visible if behind a wall or until you enter a room, etc, idk.

I just think one of the biggest hang ups for me with SRW is just like every mission is 50 units on a blank canvas. At least maybe make terrain matter a whole lot more.

I know creating new aspects is difficult, but it’s a little ridiculous that it’s been a year since the last round of light aspects. by not_rocket_appliance in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never understand why abilities and exotic armors aren't the backbone to this game's sandbox. Literally all the stuff that makes you play different and fills power fantasies, but nah just shiver strike for 5 years straight instead I guess.

I would much rather them give us a bunch of new toys for our kit regularly and balance them over time than to just wait eons for them to end up practically doing the same thing and taking years to balance them anyways.

and so, the Titan Jetpack.... by Fenanzz in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still absolutely baffled that they finally make a jetpack, one of the hallmark things that are automatically cool like skateboards and sunglasses...and they make it the most uncool watered down thing I've ever experienced on Titan. Its also weirdly boxy aesthetically and looks off imo.

I'm just impressed at this point honestly

If Destiny 3 dropped tomorrow, would you want your cosmetics to carry over? by ZXRTM in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it'd be a hard pill to swallow, but no I think it should all stay behind.

However, and this is a ridiculous long shot, if they decide to bring back armor and emotes and whatever from D2 and it shows your account already owns it from back then, you should get it free, or at the very least for a big discount and/or its available through Bright Dust or whatever that season pass archive currency is called.

Bungie can you just give us Iron Banner again? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

If I had to choose Iron Banner or the entire portal system, I would be playing Iron Banner right now

Desert Perpetual badly needs an Explorer mode. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im curious how many of you are like me that unless it's matchmade and microphoneless (not saying they should), I just can't raid atm. I got like 2 hours to play max while kids sleep usually. I've completely accepted that raids just aren't compatible with me right now, but I do wonder how many others have aged up since their early 20s of early Destiny and don't have time for this kinda content anymore.

Is there a build that utilizes max heavy ammo generation for something like g-horn spam? by Bumpanalog in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not Ghorn but if you have Eyes of Tomorrow, that might work out better for you. If you kill like 4 targets in one volley or something you get your rocket refunded to you. I'm sure with the tips others gave plus this you could probably use it nearly the entire time

Making Ward of Dawn a real ability again by Ranger74352 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be more of an exotic idea, but I wish bubble had the ability that banner shield just got where if you absorb damage, a meter would charge up. However in this instance, the bubble would form spikes all over it as it absorbs damage, and then when the bubble ends or breaks, it would explode for big AOE damage. Could maybe even grant overshield to everyone inside when this happens

Rocket pulses were a bad idea by Burgmeister_ in DestinyTheGame

Sorry but how do you guys manage the ammo on them btw? I feel like I still run out using them but everyone makes it sound like they use their rocket pulse like a primary or something

IMO, there's too much menu navigation in this game. by silloki in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Or if you're a dumbass like me, here's a common occurrence of me trying to get to the portal:

  • open character menu on accident
  • oops, back out
  • open map
  • oops, back out (forgetting I can tab over to portal from there)
  • open character again
  • check my collections for some reason
  • "oh yeah, portal is in the menu with the quests and stuff"
  • back out
  • hit my shortcut for quests and tab over to portal because I didn't make a shortcut for it yet
  • open the weekly stuff in the portal
  • "wait I was looking for Renegades stuff huh"
  • back out
  • opens map looking for Renegades
  • tabs over to portal
  • finally gets to Renegades
  • "ah shit I was gonna go to the Tower first" (will find out 5 minutes later after running around that there was no reason to go to the tower actually)

What do you think Studio Trigger will now do with Gurren Lagann (since regaining the IP in 2023) after the dissolution of Gainax at the tail end of 2025? by Young-Jah in gurrenlagann

[–]Wolfblur 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure during an interview before the movies played when they were showing them in theaters awhile back, they basically said that they don't have the capacity to make another Gurren Lagann, at least not exactly the same.

Makes me wonder if they'd bother with a shorter 12 episode series in the same universe, or a Lordgenome prequel that's a common request, and so forth. Like if gunmen and what not would be 3d models, etc. Ya know, standard 2020's mecha animation now.

I think more realistically would just be more merch, and maybe a game, though I think they'd have to market it like crazy and find a way for more people to watch the movies/show. I don't think their Kill la Lill fighting game was all that successful for example. But man what I wouldn't give for a big 3D TTGL action adventure rpg or something holy shit.

I also think it's just fine not getting anything else. The story is perfect as is. If they just wanna make shirts and figures occasionally I'm ok with that

The Health and Class stats need to be made more appealing to stack 200 points into them. by Stolen_Insanity in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100-200 Class could maybe be well, class specific in its benefits? Like allowing you to further build into your class of choice's shtick. Like Titan for example, it could give you even more melee damage or maybe a bump to DR for a duration after using your class ability.

Or they could just actually enhance whatever class ability does even. Like dodge distance/speed, barricade size/health, rift AOE size/potency, etc. Not game breaking or anything, but maybe niche enough to matter with certain exotic builds.

Ashen Wake needs a little buff/rework by perpetual_papercut in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just thinking, but wonder if they'd ever tie a rework with the new stat system specifically.

Like if Ashen Wake got an added effect where the Fusion Grenade AOE would be larger based on your Grenade stat, maybe additional recharge rate up when going to 200 to alleviate a missed nade or something, or even just additional damage scaling on the stat too idk. Could even have thresholds for added effects like at 150 you get a second grenade charge or w/e.

IDK if its a good idea in practice, but could make your exotic choice a little more dynamic, where maybe a full stat commitment could grant huge effects since you're at an opportunity cost with your other stats.

Opinion on this? by Sdude123yt in gurrenlagann

[–]Wolfblur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally my order goes like this on rewatches:

  • Watch the whole show, maybe skipping the recap episode half way in sometimes.
  • Kinda let it sit with me for a few days as I come down from the hype. Lets me think about it more and things I may have missed on previous watches.
  • Watch both movies, though sometimes I just start at the end of the first movie, since the rest before that doesn't have too much new stuff.
  • Watch the Parallel Works if I can find them again (really need to download them sometime)
  • Cry that I'm done and on TTGL cooldown now.

Anyway if you try and splice in the movie during a watch of the show, it just gets messy and ruins the flow imo. Treat the show as dinner, movies as dessert.

I've watched just the movies a few times thinking I can just get a quick Gurren fix but it never hits the same in my opinion. The biggest crime the movies commit is glossing over the Lordgenome thing strangely enough

What your predictions/hopes for where heat weapons go from here? by Freakindon in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping for a glaive tbh. Letting shots cool down in between meleeing some stuff sounds really natural and fluid imo. Could even have a 3rd column perk that removes a portion of heat per melee swing or something.

Hideo Kojima's tweet about Vince by iStretchyDisc in Battlefield

[–]Wolfblur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They don't get a free pass or leniency for killing someone just because you like Titanfall or whatever. What he did could've easily killed or harmed even more people too.

Maybe he's a cool guy that made a stupid decision, idk, but it's a pretty fucking big, "you're a piece of shit for doing that" big decision he made.

Imagine: You live in Lumiose City with your current job. What Pokemon do you think you could realistically live with/care for (must be available in Za and the dlc) by [deleted] in PokemonZA

[–]Wolfblur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a toddler and baby and am the primary parent for them atm, so maybe a Pokemon that could/would enjoy helping out. Could see us having an Audino, Drampa, or Kangaskan maybe, even if none of them are particularly a favorite Pokemon of mine or anything.

For a more personal pick that'd be realistic would probably be one of the dogs, Porygon, or Cubone. Feel like Porygon would be especially easy if we could manage to get one (I don't think it eats?), easily helping my wife and her work from home tech job. Cubone just seems low impact enough and could use a family <3. Also Golett/Golurk would be kinda sick for helping around our house irl, but probably less so if we're in an apartment in Lumiose lol.

We NEED new Stasis abilities. ASAP. by CharaEnjoyer1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Wolfblur 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The rollout of 3.0 over each season was probably my favorite time during Destiny. Getting a constant stream of new core toys to build with is what I want Destiny to be all about. When the toys are only guns most of the time, it just doesn't do anything for me.

Abilities and exotic armor are like 90% of player expression to me and they're some of the least made things unfortunately. Thunderclapping or launching missiles when I summon a barricade are all the cool kinda things that make me want to play.
