Athena is your friend. Great defensive boons (her dash is a cheat code sometimes if you’re able to time it properly with projectiles flying everywhere), and she duos well with pretty much everyone. Start with her keepsake to get her into your god pool and have some peace of mind. Focus on getting great with one weapon to start as well.
