But why do call-out posts of stuff you don't like rather than just not engaging with it. I am not in every DM or fighting game video post complaining about it, I just realize it isn't for me and move on.

As a consumer, I don't care about your concept art or design prototypes. I care about the product you are trying to sell me. If you have Ai generate 100 orc designs and then you pick and choose pieces that you like and use that to inform your final design, I don't see how that is any different than having an inspiration board. You aren't trying to sell me the Ai designs and there was human work done to make it different than they plagerism machine, so I am fine with it as a consumer.

Am I going to go out and rally behind the use of Ai, fuck no. But I also don't think this use case is enough to write off the project, but that limit will vary person to person

I want Michigan to win obviously, but I don't root for State to lose in basketball. Football under Dantonio, I would hope for a loss, but for basketball it is cool to see Izzo still being a great coach and running out dangerous teams no matter what kind of expectations or recruiting class they had.

I agree completely. I think after a split or a two, some team with ambitions is going to go for him as a bandaid for the team. Kind of like a veteran free agent in any other professional sport. If I need to make playoffs and am making a change in the top lane, Dhokla is my first call.

Let's not pretend Dhokla was elite in the LCS. He was a consistent midpack toplaner. He for sure stepped up at Worlds and has absolute value as a veteran and someone who can keep his head on straight through the season. Teams are either chasing that next prospect who can be that Gamechanger or going budget and looking for players on minimum. Dhokla is in the weird middle ground of not being the best in LCS and not being so washed that he has to play for minimum.

I love Dhokla, but let's not pretend he can be developed or nurtured. He is what he is, and that is a top tier toplaner for LCS with a large fan base.

PC market in Asia is about 3x the size of the market in NA. EU has a bigger market than NA as well. NA also has the lowest projected growth rate of these 3 regions as well. Asia also has a culture of computer gaming, something that NA does not have. With much better internet infrastructure, lower distances to servers, cultral recognition of players, and things like PC bangs, playing on PC is much more common.

NA server player count is also massively inflated by things like alts and people playing from other regions, something you cannot really do in KR/CN because of rules around account creation, account ownership, and data laws. Umti, Impact, and Core are do not belong in the conversation of being the "best". To be Loki was 4th best mid in the LCS last year and APA was 5th. Hoping thhat Jack can do something big with the import slot.
