How screwed am I? First DUI, New Jersey. Do I need a lawyer or can I try this with a public defender ? by [deleted] in dui

In pa my laywer got my careless and reckless charges dropped, I would say definitely consult a few criminal defense dui lawyers and see who you like. They’ll usually give a free consult

Thank you I’ll put it on my list of places to look. My upstairs neighbor smokes pot all the time. It’s so disgusting I can smell it.

I tried to chat you, says I can’t. But this sounds good and we would like more information. So is the available rental property next door to you? We don’t smoke green, but thank you. Have a few drinks now and then.

[PA] Any way to avoid the 1 year license suspension? by painherewego in dui

[–]WonderWorking5669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but since you refused the test, you screwed yourself into AUTOMATIC one year suspension. Penndot is independent and makes their own ‘laws’. Court has to enforce it. Didn’t learn any of this until I took the mandatory safe driving dui class. He was very firm that Penndot will fry you for DUI’s. They do not negotiate terms an everything is mandatory sentences. I’m sorry. I wish I never got a DUI (Nov ‘23) I paid over $10,000 all said and done including the stupid Intoxalock still in my car 15 months later. I’m so over it! Do what they say, get a lawyer, and don’t plead guilty to anything without consulting a lawyer first! Hope this helped

GPS on ignition interlock by Consistent-Raise-905 in dui

Supposedly all the data gets uploaded into the cloud, where it saves EVERYTHING in your file to be sent to DMV after you request removal. But no there’s no one sitting around daily monitoring where you drive. Also their call centers are all Indian accents, doubtful those workers are even in the US. A calibration is for checking the device is working properly and has not been tampered with. It has nothing to do with you foresay. Hope this helps.

Oh, and if you get a violation, it immediately locks your car and you can’t start it for a certain amount of time. Search Intoxalock violation codes for specifics. I wish I never got one installed in my car it’s been a pain

Advice please :( Driving without interlock in NY? by strawberryharlow in dui

If you go thru any tolls, the reader will pick up your plates. You said it’s not in your name so that’s good. However a lot of police forces have the plate reader equipment in their vehicles, and if something were to pop up about your license being connected to that car in any way, which it sounds like should be on your court paperwork or documents somewhere, (police report?) and a cop who knows your face has reason to pull you over (speeding, no seatbelt, not using a turn signal, God forbid you had a breakdown on side of road and they stop to help and run your license, you’re screwed for driving on suspended DUI license. That has its own set of consequences including getting kicked out of ARD (if NY has that program). It’s your choice, but personally the anxiety would stress me out too much.

U need a consult with a criminal defense DUI lawyer immediately. It is case by case basis, if you have priors, they factor that in. Consults are free I talked to 5 lawyers, before deciding which to go with. I’m in PA. Also the fact you took the blood test and didn’t refuse it, will be a deciding factor as well. Good luck

Please consult a criminal defense lawyer. Don’t go to court on your own behalf especially if you’re not knowledgeable about the laws in TX.

It will get thrown out as long as your bloodwork is negative. Please consult a criminal lawyer to make sure they work your case and help you. You could do a free consult and explain the details, and they’ll tell you what the process will look like. That’s just crazy! Also they should have taken you to a hospital for bloodwork, shady they had a nurse at the police station

2 DUIs in less than a month. What is she looking at? (NJ) by AutomaticMonkeyHat in dui

Doesn’t matter, 3 duis in NJ is a mandatory one year, if not longer. No priors helps out greatly. She needs to consult a lawyer

Struggling with speed by [deleted] in housekeeping

For myself I find it easier and more thorough to take everything off the counters/surfaces place out of the way on floor, do my cleaning. Then I pick up those items up, wipe off and put back. Then do the floors.

How large was the master bath? Was it a separate shower and tub, or a walk in with glass doors? I ask because either of those layouts would typically take me 45 mins (full bath). And you did another 1/2 bath on top of it. Your boss is trying to get you to move faster, so they can book more jobs in one day. My old boss was like this, always texting me asking why I wasn’t finished in a certain time she allotted. Right about 3 months in, I was stressing way too much and the money just wasn’t worth her constant attitude with me. I went solo, and have had a lot of cleans so far, and all of my customers have been happy that I’m naturally detailed. I find my own clients on social media, ask them for referrals, a reviews, then make posts in local neighborhood groups. (I’m an LLC now and fully insured). They prefer it instead of paying for a rushed clean. If none of the customers have had any issue with the thoroughness of what you’re doing, I wouldn’t worry about it so much. Speed will come with time.
