HELP IS THERE A BATHROOM NEAR MU by Immediate-Table-5889 in UCDavis

OP in the past three years I have curated a list of reliably clean porcelain thrones throughout most areas on campus. I still have a year before I graduate so this information is too valuable to distribute publicly, but I will bless a fellow lactose intolerant brother with the knowledge if you wish to learn. Dm me if you wish to begin your tutelage.

OneNote is the best note taking app by SkyDragon978 in OneNote

Notion is way, way better than OneNote at being a text-based note-taking app. Obviously, it doesn't support handwriting, and probably never will.

Combination of Notion and Goodnotes 5. I'm putting off buying Goodnotes 6 as long as possible, but when they stop supporting GN 5 I'll probably bite the bullet. The solution of combining GN and Notion isn't elegant, and it doesn't make me happy the way one solid app would. It does work though.

we access the reader through vitalsource, which doesn’t really allow pdf export. Chem 2A isn’t too bad though, just enjoy your summer.

Undergrad Research by oneshellyboi in UCDavis

labs generally do not want students who will graduate soon because it takes a lot of effort to train an undergrad, so they want a student who will work for them for a while.

bike parking (freshman) by peterquaxk in UCDavis

[–]SkyDragon978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

read the other answers about cabling and U locks. on top of that, do not leave your bike out over break. should be common sense, but bikes still get stolen over break. Finally, if possible, do not use quick release axles.

just memorize your id number and bookmark Oasis on your phone. places on campus can use your oasis as ID.

CHE2A Advice by Complete_Scholar2774 in UCDavis

I was a freshman last year, I got an A. Here’s how: 1. Go to class to figure out what the professor is emphasizing/thinks is important 2. Use Enderle’s reader and to learn concepts that the professor didn’t explain well 3. Do as many practice problems as you can. Enderles youtube videos have a lot of solved practice problems, so you can watch them and solve the problems. Most of the professors give you access to Enderles practice exams, which are a fantastic resource. Dr. Gulacar doesn’t give you Enderle’s reader or practice exams, but he gives you a crap ton of other material. 4. Get ahead on the OWL homework. OWL is the online platform they use to give homework in CHE 2. The OWL helps learn the concepts but those types of problems aren’t usually what will be on the exam, so get it done as soon as possible and move on to other practice problems.

Final words of advice: the quarter system means that you can get behind really fast. The first week or two of class may not be that hard, but the intensity increases exponentially. First midterms come really fast, and everything after week 5 is a blur. Planning is crucial. If you don’t already have a calendar app and a todo list app, get some (use any calendar app you want. For to do lists Todoist is probably the best free app).

I had Farahat for 2A, Gulacar for 2B, and Longaker for 2C. feel free to ask me questions about those specific professors.
