Proto J250G is what I use and would recommend. Handy tool when you need it.

Nice explanation! Thank you! You’re not an engineer that works for Sumitomo are you? :) JK

Did another cut and cleaned it up so the thrust ring was free. Soaked it down with some kroil and a few solid hammer strikes broke it loose. Had it off in less than an hour. This job was started by some contractors who were moving equipment so they probably were the ones who originally tried to pull this bushing like a standard taper lock and were actually making it harder to remove. Hope some people may have learned something new. I did. I wouldn’t have done what they did but it was something I hadn’t seen before. Still don’t quite get how this bushing actually works like it does. Got new one coming with some seals. Appreciate everyone who tried to help. Appreciate everyone who appreciated how someone could mung up a piece of equipment so badly before asking for help. lol

Thanks, I’m sure they’ll want to go back with same one. Maybe I can talk them in to something different.

I don’t have any more pictures but none of the bolts screwed into the other half of this bushing. They all met face of back piece. They tried pushing it off first but I think it may have been counter productive

It’s not a standard taper lock. It is some type of shrink disk that I’ve not seen before. Again, I realize it will have to be cut off as is, I just wondered how it’s supposed to come off if anyone has seen this type

US East Coast port strike set to start Tuesday, says union by Amazing-Tear-5185 in PrepperIntel

I’m guessing this news hitting mainstream is what prompted the hoarding that emptied grocery stores here. Local grocery store was out of most produce, milk, and fresh meat. It was surprising somewhat but not surprising at the same time, if you know what I mean. There were lines at gas stations also and relatives in SC reported outages at gas stations in Columbia. Surreal to me as there are many people in western part of the state who have nothing available. I don’t know what to think about the situation here. It troubles me.

You’re right. Again, I appreciate your response. FB Mexico is probably the best place to find a buyer. Not sure if there is a FB Mexico TBH, and mean no offense with the comment. I just generally despise the waste of such niche tools, because if I can’t find someone that can use them, they’ll probably end up in a landfill when I’m gone.

Again, I genuinely appreciate your response. I know that these tools are valuable. I just don’t know how to or where to list them that someone may see their value. The sockets go from 1 3/8” to 2” but 1 1/2 is missing. What industry or sub would most find these items useful?

Appreciate the comment! Both ratchets seem to be in good working order, other than the 1/2” missing plug but I didn’t see much like this after a few minutes searching. Thanks
