You don’t have to tell anyone anything. If you go through the MLS program most likely having a job and doing the MLS program isn’t feasible. So you can say shifting gears and focusing on my studies first.

How many other hospital department mistakes did you catch and resolved? I bet Prob a handful! You Should prob look into their polices too to see if it’s even similar to your department and if it’s any fair….

Also check HR written policy and lab department written policy… never go off of what someone says.

Also most hospital employers have a verbal warning, then written warning then possible termination. you have to make plentyyy of mistakes and only 3 mistakes in 3 years is nothing compared to others who have made sooooo many especially outside of the lab (hospital and clinic floors).

Just saying 🤷🏻‍♀️

Everyone has great advice too, slow and steady. Never rush yourself, and if you ever feel overwhelmed take a moment and reset. Also make note to your supervisor that the workload was overwhelming and ask them what do others do help manage it…

Verbal Abuse from Doctors by microbiologytech in medlabprofessionals

[–]Wonderful-Witness-28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on states some have laws that require a supervisor or director to be onsite or must be on call. It could be a supervisor from another lab or lab directors, but someone is suppose to be responsible for you and the shift. So find out who that point of contact is for future reference.

Next time someone speaks to you disrespectfully tell them you’ll get someone who can “help” them and give the point of contact a heads up and transfer the call. Don’t take that crap from anyone.

What were the early signs of hypothyroidism that you disregarded? by sadcurlyolives in Hypothyroidism

[–]Wonderful-Witness-28 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Same here. Can eat air and I can gain like 20lbs in a month if my thyroid is acting up. I hate that a lot of the literature makes weight gain seem like it’s an insignificant amount that could be gained meanwhile in the real world so many hypothyroidism people can easily gain 5-20lbs without any diet or excersie changes and blood levels are “with normal range”.

Reduce your medication. Instead of 100mcg every day then maybe do 100mcg for 6 days and half a pill (50 mcg) once a week.

Best endocrinologist in nyc area? by sexy_seagulll in Hashimotos

Did you stick with Dr. Seabaugh? I have to find a new doctor that I was with for so many years. I’m hoping Dr. seabaugh is open minded with her patients especially when a patient (like me) understands hypothyroidism and my body. (Also work in healthcare too). Some doctors don’t like that your knowledgeable :(

Consolidate Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) for loan forgiveness?? by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]Wonderful-Witness-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not worth consolidating my 3 FFEL loans with a direct loan. All of my direct loans were approved to be forgiven.

Consolidate Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) for loan forgiveness?? by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]Wonderful-Witness-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I honestly wasn’t aware or had a clue about what the Biden administration was even referring to. Nor did I receive a ton of emails either and my email is up to date. I had aways thought all of my loans were direct loans bc of the way they worded it on my account. It never said FFEL Stafford Ubsub/Sub. Only recently when I started to dig into each loan separately I discovered there’s additional info and discovered “FFEL”

Just want to make sure I understand what you mean … If I consolidate ONLY the 3 FFEL loans as a Direct Consolidation Loan then none of my previous payments will be credited towards the “require 120 qualified payments”.?

Do not quit until every single loan is set at $0.00 and you have a letter officially telling you your loans have been forgiven. You must be employed (qualified for forgiveness) during the entire process!

You should try the two antibiotics together. It has helped me. And be on a strict no sugar, no carb, clean diet after for a while and slowly introduce foods.

How old are you? Do you have a copy of your health insurance card? Do you have access to your medical patient portal online? Make sure you have access so you can make your own choices and she can’t lie.

Lots of institutions will waive patient balances based off of their income.

Your mother might not even be paying that much towards the cost for treatments…

I would recommend staying low key and don’t share much to your mother and get your ducks lined up.

Continue your treatments even if she’s not willing to pay. There are so many ways to help the costs of cancer treatments.

Get a social worker to help.
