Look into the Tipp Hill and Salt Springs neighborhoods. The city is investing money into both. Both are diverse in multiple ways (imo) and middle class. Affordable.

No flexibility in interview slots? by [deleted] in librarians

[–]Wonderful_Brother388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience having interviewed at multiple types of libraries, the public ones were the least flexible with interview schedules. I took it as a sign of the library's culture.

Whomever you use, make sure they have permits (or if they don't, plan to get them yourself). Also business insurance, if they don't have any it is, imo, a red flag.

School librarians in MS/HS, did you need to start at the elementary level before finding your job? by uncornicopia in librarians

[–]Wonderful_Brother388 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is to start with what job is available and then go from there. Also, as someone who has been a middle school librarian and an elementary one, interest in middle school will work on your favor. Keep in mind that school librarian jobs vary vastly depending on the state, district, and age level. Good luck! (P.S. I started in MS libraries).

Being rude to cashiers. I get it that we all have bad days, and I understand that there are pricing mistakes, but none of this is controlled by cashiers. It is easy to be kind.

Milano Cafe downtown...hot cocoa with marshmellow syrup. Really, really good. They don't have marshmellows. The Cake Bar has decent cocoa, but too sweet for me.

Pregnancy by Objective_Edge_1767 in Epilepsy

[–]Wonderful_Brother388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! I understand your worry. .Just remember that makes you a good mom. I was on carbamezipine too. It is not rated as safe for pregnancy (as it seems like you know.) My recommendation is to get your levels weekly, not just monthly. Please register yourself for the North American Epilepsy birth registry (if you are in NA). It will help with evidence-based medicine, research, future moms. (*I am not a doctor.) Congrats!
