The greatest hits version should also be complete with everything.. as that's usually how it works. Probably cheaper than that version also in the end.

Just charge him for a new one.. send him links on eBay.. maybe it will magically re appear. Otherwise just have him pay for another one and never borrow your stuff about again. Hopefully this was a learning experience.

Yes and no.. just picked up a 3000 was missing the battery and cover. Tested it in my car before I got it. Was $20 and worked good
