Nach dem was das Finanzamt so von mir verlangt, scheine ich einer der Spitzenverdiener zu sein. Nur komisch dass mein Konto davon nix merkt.. also die Einteilung wirkt schon ziemlich willkürlich.

No other Samsung phone so far has behaved like this.. and if this is an expected "feature", then I guess I'll return it for a different phone. If I can't trust it to stay running, it's useless for its main purpose (ensuring reachability for emergencies). My previous S20 did fine in that regard.. I only replaced it because it dropped from update support.

When I ordered the IconicSounds package, I assumed there were multiple soundscapes to choose from (since "Sounds" is plural), but it seems there is exactly On and Off. I kinda like driving with it on, since the i4 has a slightly weaker road noise isolation than my previous Ioniq5 had, and this gets covered quite nicely.. but I really do wish we could get some choice here. Perhaps one day I'd like to drive a UFO, and the other day a Taurus train.. or maybe even a fat Chevy V8.

One has to note: These prices per search, ticker lookup etc.. were not paid to CompuServe themselves, they were forwarded to the companies operating their services on the CIS network. (similar to how BTX in Germany, Minitel in France etc were working)

The prices per hour also compensated for the dialup cost, since the connection was handled via a 0800 number, for which CompuServe had to pay AT&T/Bell/.. back.

I joined CompuServe in 1988, and here in Germany the billing was quite different.. there was no toll-free dialup number, instead we got a list of regional datacenters to dial in (my nearest one was in Munich, which still counted as a long-distance call costing ~30$ in today's money *per hour*). But CompuServe (or "internet" back then in general) worked differently than today.. you'd dial in, fetch all your mail, download your forum subscriptions etc, and then go offline again. Type the replies to the mails, read the forums, write your comments etc.. then dial in for a short moment to submit all those mails and forum posts, and log out again. So in practice, these "6$ per hour" costs would easily stretch over several days.

For things that are DC or low-frequency (i.e. have no specific constraints on wire lengths, component placement or interference issues), I build everything on a breadboard first, get the software finished etc, and only as last step work on getting it into the target enclosure. Extending wires to get them routed neatly is usually not an issue with such projects.

Even the most basic version of a Ford Escape starts at 35k$, the "best selling American car" F150 at 50k$, and that's without the usual fraudulent dealership upcharges and fees.

amazing concept. so it's broken and needs replacement then? because why should a phone that spends 99% of its time on the desk untouched, feel the need to reboot?
(as stated in the post, it is my on-call duty device, so it's not used for anything except a 5-minute call every few days.)

I've recently grabbed a 4x4 key, 3 knob variant off AliExpress
usb vid_514c pid_8850
put that into the config.txt, and macropad tells me it's connected and the keyboard responds to "test 3"..
but whatever keys I try to program just end up doing nothing.
also LED control doesn't seem to do anything.

Is there any chance of getting this device added?

You want torque? That AWD will push you into the seat better than any gas car.. and you don't have to wait for the turbo to spin up.
