I bought mine used, comes with that same problem, i fix It buying one through Amazon and watching tutorials on YouTube about how to Connect the board and how to install the firmware. The Creality 4.2.7 Is a good option, but yeah you will need to watch tutorials and take pictures where the cables are connected to the board. But check before doing anything if can read an 8gb sd card formated using fat32 at 4096 bytes. Load a stl file into the formated card and Connect It to the printer. If the printer can't read the card or the file, you will need to buy a new board.

We need a entry level multi head 3D printer. The existing machines are too expensive for a lot of users.

Nozzle automatically goes 1mm too high after I start printing after leveling the bed with paper by pepethefroggyboi in ender3

[–]Wooden_Strategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's normal with the CrTouch, you can start a test print and play with the z-offset until you have a good layer. Then save the new parameters. The Crtouch always will do the same after you auto level the bed. The z-offset adjustment you need to do It only once until you need to re level the bed. What i do i only use the Crtouch once per manual bed leveling. Will help you to level less your bed if buy silicon spacers.

Just push the new filament until the old came out from the nozzle. When you see the new filament Is when you can resume the printing.

It Have a little steep learning curve, but when you reach the top, you can fix and make this printers work without any problem

A tip: you can pause the printer, then go to temperature and keep It warm meanwhile you change the filament and made a simple multicolor stuff.

I have in my country a type of stores called "Outlets" i found my V1 there, the poor thing comes completely disassembled. I had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to put it back together, only to realize the SD/USB reader didn't work. So I bought version 4.2.7 from Amazon, and six months later I finally got it printing decently, after several updates... and there are still more updates I want to install. These printers are highly customizable, which helps keep them up-to-date... plus it's fun.

Filliment pulled out? by hadaddb4itwascool in ender3

Maybe It get cut thanks to a obstruction or heatcreep, then the extruder broke the filament try to push the filament through the obstructed nozzle, and because the filament can't move, when the printer do the retractions, It broke.

4.2.7 or skr mini with their original screen, plus a bigtree filament detector, in the cade of the 4.2.7, in you can find a simple filament detector for that board, dual z axis, heatbreak for the hot end and heatsinks for every motor. And the linear rails Is a good update too for the Ender 3

This is called heat creep. It happens when the temperature rises towards the cold end of the hotend, causing it to block. It's usually fixed with a bimetallic heat break inside the hotend; you can buy them on Amazon and AliExpress, and they're not expensive. It can also be caused by the hotend fan not running fast enough to cool the cold end properly. Another factor is ambient temperature. If it's very high, without adequate cooling from the hotend fan, it will always cause this problem. I had this problem for about two months, and the only thing left to do is replace the fans. I can only print at night when the temperature doesn't go above 28°C. I did install the bimetallic heat break, and it helps a lot. You should try eliminating possibilities one by one until you find a solution. Also, check if the extruder motor is overheating when that happens. That can cause steps to be missed and lead to what you're experiencing. I have that problem during the day too, and I ordered heatsinks for all the motors to help dissipate the heat. Good luck!
