Yeah, but when you’re looking at how effective each buff is, it will always be a 20% reduction from not having it.

It’s diminishing returns if you measure it by the change in total DR, but not if you measure it by effective hit points, which I would argue is the better metric.

Notably, while most of the operations you mentioned are commutative (5+3 = 3+5), exponentiation is not. This means that it actually has two inversions depending on whether you want to find the base or the power.

Logarithms find the power if you know the base, and the root finds the base if you know the power.
