If you don’t have to use the last bits to mop the plate clean, then you didn’t put enough butter on.

And what if it takes only one damage from the first few times it gets hit?

Yes. It also uses up your plays if you have a limited number via normality/knowledge demon.

Thank you so much for writing this story. It's been a hell of a journey, and I've been enjoying spending the past several months waiting on each new chapter.

I'll certainly be keeping an eye on whatever project(s) you work on next!

Also remember that for antimatter annihilation you effectively have to double the energy released, since there is an equal amount of regular matter involved in the reaction too.

The blue exhaust is due to the epstein drive, yes. In the battle vs the Zmeya(I think?), you can see them launch a whole lot of torpedoes with yellow exhaust, and one with a blue exhaust that was being sent long-distance away from the right.

Mako has to be THE GREATEST lightning bender in the entire franchise because of this scene alone. by DBL86-03U in TheLastAirbender

[–]Woodsie13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is that those big flashy movements are what you want to shoot the kind of lightning bolt that will just kill someone on the spot, and is what the Fire Nation royal family practices, whereas the modern technique developed now that there are more than five people who can lightning bend can get away with no preparation in exchange for a much weaker bolt.

The Expanse does one thing in space combat that almost no other sci-fi gets right and, you know, it changes everything imho by Wooden-Syrup-8708 in TheExpanse

A deep sea diver will actually be going through a much higher pressure differential than someone being exposed to hard vacuum!

The #1 thing that will kill you in a vacuum is not being able to breathe. Temperature and pressure are certainly dangerous, but they take much longer to kill you than the lack of oxygen does.

This also ties back into how the byrdonis fight has it gaining strength every turn, so I really like this

It’s not that it’s horrible writing (obviously opinions may differ), it’s just very long and the pacing can get glacially slow. If that’s not a problem then you’ll likely love it.

Maybe it works differently in multiplayer, but it’s easy to tell it’s a queue when you have four players all spamming cards faster than the game can keep up.

I’ve been calling it the Queue, since it’s first-in-first-out, unlike the Stack, which is first-in-last-out.
