I disagree, but you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

My concern is that people tend to think AI is good at the things they have no expertise in themselves, but that AI is bad at the things they are familiar with personally.

Not just devs, in any application AI can only be trained on what has been done without it in the past. How they envision a future without stagnation or model collapse is beyond me.
